Was a pretty naff way to kill them in the season though. In the space of about ten minutes, we re-meet the asgard, they give us tech, then commit mass suicide.....
I mean the death of the asgard deserved at least a plot arc of a couple of eps.....not a ten minutes slot on the last ep, as if the writers didn't know a legit reason for them to give the tauri technology.....

because they realized that as a race, they are inferior to the System Lords and couldnt handle it anymore.

after 'generations' of cloning, they have a disease that is getting progressively worse each time they clone themselves. So they decided to end their race before it got worse.

We've seen Thor download into a computer - surely there was a way that they could download themselves into robots - a bit like in Tinman.

GO GOA'ULDS!!!
Put Sodans or Free Jaffas (if Tollan phoenix's suggest cant come up because of a fifth race...) instead of Asgards...or maybe the Nox? Thry good at def and would get no probs for show following to have similar stuff to holograms (even if i hate it lool)
