Blahh, I agree with you, these changes are knee jerk reactions, usualy people trying to get updates to assist them, only later same group wants something done cause of that update.

We dont need these updates, we need people to shut up, sit down, and play the damn game.

If they want to get bigger, they need to work.

you can never hurt me in a game.. and if this were real life you would be my B I T C H

Deary me - are you still a mod??

As for your original comment which started this little handbags session - Raven didn't 'cry about CoP' - he said 'no CoP in particular.... but helps big players'.

The real updates we could use are much less profoundly changing as "space" etc....

things like:

- ability to set alliances to peace
- better system of alliance warfare taking into account uu lost, naq lost, turns used etc. And that has terms that could be agreed upon before the war, etc.
- the cap to work like g&r points when it was changed from being top 100 to a % of players playing. (ie: when a certain % get to the cap, it is increased, as there will always be larger players.)

Basically things that make the game more convenient but that don't drastically change the way it is played.

@wolf359: REK isnt a mod any longer, he got tired of it...

@blahh: the reason it got moved was that it wasnt a game suggestion... had you placed it in general at the beginning, you wouldnt have lost that bet... most likely at least...

Personally, I think of SGW as an organism. Each and every member of the game make up some part of it... Puck made a good post at one point(where we pretty much determined the course and outcome for the game).

I think updates are made because it would prevent the game from getting stale. It wold be done too, I assume to stay competitive.

If you don't like an update present reasons against it. If they are compelling I would imagine that Forum would consider it.

There are sections on the forums to discuss upcoming enhancements and talk about the ones already released. I am certain that on at least one occasion forum has taken out an update because people didn't like it.

I did a quick search blahh and didn't see a post from you in the "Discussion of enhancements (coming up)". The area exists so that people can comment on the updates and what is being planned, again, I would be so bold as to assume it is do so people can read and talk about them.

Additionally Forum has a weekly chat(I don't know if you know), where you can air your concerns/beefs. I read through a couple of the transcripts and saw that people suggest game updates there. It might be good, if you haven;t already, to attend a few and to argue for or against some proposed updates(figuratively speaking with argue).
