Sorry no hate here, for the profesionals. I do get a bit tired of the arm chair quarterbacks though.
Tok'ra I do not understand your question
But what bout the people that joined DD or TF after the war started ?
I belive those that came in from neutral alliances on both sides will have the option to stay or move home.

It wasn't directed at you. It was directed a some other people who are slightly overzealous about their side, be it CIA or CoP.

You've always struck me as extremely professional about the war.

We should make a user bar for them. It can say:
"I'm an armchair QB" with a picture of a football (American) in a Lazy-Boy

hmmm..dune just might become an alliance in itself after the war....
seriously though, i agree that if you have problems go on vacation, you join an alliance and its a commitment, for good or bad you stick to it, in anycase i hope those that joined dune wont abuse it

people seem to forget that even b4 this war what my idea of DUNE was, it would be a place people could go if R/L chucked stuff at you, like i said this happens to all.
That they could go but return to an account they could play, most os the people who have joined Dune now have joined because of R/L issues but yes there are some who have joined just to get out of the war, but they have their reasons.
you forget we fight all around the would so people can have choices,
But all I see on here is, cowards.traitors, greedy etc being thrown
But the term that come to mind is stone/Glass houses, lIke i have said b4 just go to the BM & see who is selling stuff for $$, where are the getting these resourses, yep from players who have workeed hard to build decent accounts only for them to be used as places for people to steal their Stuff to be sold for $.
why should they be penilised & told to go on vac mode?
sorry that is not true, there are people who are now seeing the true reason for Dune, they are working with Dune & helping with suggestions so Dune can carry on.
you will have noticed all good suggestion have been acted on, numbers have be reduced, we have been send ing messages out to the alliance members concerning some of the issues some of you have raised.
you are invited to ask any member if this is true.
But remember Dune is not an Alliance in such, it have no Forum or anything the only way of communication is through PM's
& once Dune is needed no more it will be disbanned once again

This is coming from someone who does not intend to leave their alliance or the war and who could go all ZOMG Traitorz!!! COWARDZ!!! WTH... but who isn't

:
After all this is a game and games are supposed to be fun. You can not force people to stay in a war forever. I fully understand that people are joining DUNE when their R/L does not allow them to sit infront of the computer 12 hours a day to farm the enemy.
Let it go, some people are just tired with it and don't have the time. Just let them find a way they can enjoy the game again with the little time they have.
What do you want them to do instead? Quit the game?

I must agree, being in an alliance is a commitment not something you can throw away when things get bad.
Personally, I think that it'll take only a few more weeks before the war is down to those who are really in the war. Eventually numbers on both sides will dwindle to those who are loyal no matter what. That's when the real war will start. And when it reaches that point, I think that there will be suddenly be a lot more respect between players instead of the insults that fly out now. If you cannot respect your opponents strategies and moves, then you will never win any war because you'll underestimate your enemy every single time. I'm getting fed up with all the hate going around.
Very wise words

Wrong
but then again right
when you are in a war, once your defence is gone & you have either lost your spys or untrained them, if you have any idea how to play this game you can not lose any more.
yes you can be hit for naq
yes you can be raided to a certain degree.
but you can also do this. as well
but what you can not do is play.
Play is hitting some one for naq or raiding & then dealing with the Consequences, being able to negotiate your way out, you all know waht i am talking abou,t the finer arts of SGW's, which make this game fun & in a way a learning curve for life.
yes being in an Alliance is a commitment but that commitment is a two way street.
history has shown that people who follow blindly, cause the bigest crap heaps in history.
people make choices, it is a personal choice.it is their choice & they have that right.
yes guys it is a game

but with most things it mirrors R/L

I do not begrudge anyone that has joined Dune.
In fact, I have encouraged those that have surrendered to do so.
This is because I know that you and Reborn will honour your commitment to prevent Dune members from fighting or funding either CoP or CIA.
You have provided a valuable alternative to those players who may have considered quitting the game.
However, this does not mean that they will be automatically welcomed back to their Alliances.

Thankyou to you both & i think alot of players will thank you for those words
yes i do understand that all alliance leaders must make that Choice about what happens after the war (if ever

Sorry but if you can't be with us when we need you the most I don't think you should be here during the good times either.
Just my personal thoughts.
You expect people to fight for a lost cause because some leaders are too up there own asses to sort anything out. For 2months nearly. Of nothing but being farmed and farming. I cant think of anyone who left before a month had passed but that doesnt matter does it...

What I think of all of that?
If you have RL reason for leaving war, it's fair.
If ANY other thing than RL reason then you should NOT be accepted back after the war!!!

STI, Yes the war is long, but it there is more to do than just mass defences and kill spies. It takes time with so many players to actually hurt them.
With PPTs and merlins it takes more than a few weeks to really get what hurt most players the most. I belive a FEW Major players left not because of the farming, but because they still had planets they wished to hold. It is evident also from their final attacks to retrieve them or buy them back from their attackers.
So no staying only a month is not dedication, it is more dedication than leaving the first day though. If you can't really be hurt in the war (losing your lifers) than why leave it? If you can log on often enough to bank then why leave? I belive an account takes more commitment outside of the war then in it, so if you have time for your account then you have time for the war.
To bad for those that left so close to a possible end.
