I think spying is useful, unless, i look at their army size (i can judge 90% of the time if i can take their defence by enemies army size lol) sometimes i fail as they have most units in defence....

lol its seperate people but they trying to get their defence up
i think they thought it would be better if they had some massive income so if they get attacked they could repair easily...

I don't think people spy on me as I have defended all but 2 attacks on my account in the past 2 weeks.
Classic example:
Attack defended 15 672 0 21,276,084,375 27,859,016
