Yea, but they aren't just the shields any more. They are the whole fricking army, shield, spear, condom and kitched sink. I don't know anyone that uses pure supers for attack, or even more than about 50%

Well, um... now that you mention it, maybe I should go to Supers Anonymous. I'm too lazy to get mercs :P

Seroiusly, I know of a case where an alliance mate got massed during a war. We all laughed because the other guy lost more in the massing. Then, we found out his entire attack force was mercs. That type of stuff is ridiculous. Personally, I like the suggestion that you need a certain super to merc ratio. Supers could act like officers in that case.

And thats just one of thousands of stories just like that. It is always tricky balancing a game so that new players still 'have a chance' to have 'fun', while the bigger players still enjoy the extra hard work they have put in. Reading back, i like BL1P's ideas, and think they are the best balanced. Only problem with it is players who will multi, or at least have a friend look after UU, so they can stay under the 10 mil limit.. But i guess that can be fixed, by limiting the number of UU can can be sent between the same pair of players

"Merc Update
Mercs are now paired witha super soldier of the same type (att/def). This means you can only buy as many mercs, as you have supers of that type.
The 1 to 1 ratio DOES increase with your merc tech (so for example a 10% merc tech would allow you to have 11 merc for 10 supers or 1:1.1 ratio)"

i personnally think the new merc update is great.
its what i suggested inhere lol

its a better update but i have merc tech level 8 and still only can get 1-1 ratio

they is still working on that, takes time to fix all teh little bugies :)
