Yeah... although if you want to farm several tril in one hit you need min 100 tril atk :( (Curses the rank mod, yet does want to keep it (to prevent mercs like Marshall from an easy mass :-D ))

What would be considered a "decent" account? by this i mean things like planets per day, turn income, charisma and other ratings, etc?

and how should i go about descending an active player if i am ever so inclined? does their physical defence and other stats play into the matter?

it depends on your level... certainly 16 is better than 10-but you have to realize there is a wide spread as far as account sizes/growth... personally I'm well over 100 mil/day but there are many who are below 10mil/day... Just do your best, and you'll keep getting bigger and better.

After reading through this thread, I have an observation/question...since rank is based entirely on Influence Power, and IP is based entirely on your "sphere of influence" (number of planets controlled), and all abilities are upgraded using ALF cache...then why, oh why, should Ascended newbs spend all their AP on Charisma?? Should they not rather spend it all on Energy Channeling, since not only does that make it much harder for them to be descended, but also gives them ever more "currency" to spend on further upgrades?? From what I see, spending everything on Charisma would only cause them to quickly rise up the ranks, while actually remaining very weak, therefore making them an incredibly easy target for descension (due to the increased attention they would recieve on the higher rankings).

This makes sense to me, but then, I am also an ascension newb, so I could be wrong...am I? Please correct me if I am, because I would hate to make any huge errors just starting out on the Ascended server...

Rank is not based solely on Influence Power at the moment. Your defence, attack, command star, covert and assassins are also taken into consideration.

Because charisma leads to growth. With each turn's income, I get as much life force cache as my Energy Channeling would give me in 685 turns. My Energy Channeling isn't at a extremely high level, but the point is, that income-> Cache is the most efficient way.

I'm ranked in the 1300s, and my influence is in the top 100. Again, rank is not only determined by Influence anymore. This thread is probably outdated.

Not quite. If you have a few good farms, you can easily farm enough DMU to convert to enough cache to fill up most ppl's LF reserves on the server. That is the only way to really protect yourself against a very big guy descending you. I don't know what the max LF assault stats are, but I know quite a few ppl who can hit you with more than 150 mil Total Offensive Capacity. In most newb cases, that would take away a third of your reserves. To refill that with Energy Channeling would need a scarily high Energy Channeling level.

Hope it helps, and if I made serious judgement errors somewhere, please correct me!

As Tacet said, Rapid growth is the most important thing in ascended. It supplies troops for gathering resources, and more units to produce your own resources. Growth is the most important thing and makes everything else so much easier.

Growth is of great importance, but it is dirt cheap to bump all your levels above the starting range. I would say go ahead and spend 10-20 percent of your LF on all combat and LF related power ups. The rest pour into charisma. If you have any DMU, buy some fleets.

You will probably be below the planet threshold to engage any active players for awhile so you shouldn't have to worry much about others stealing your income. And you shouldn't worry too much about choosing your targets. If they have few enough planets for you to attack then they are either as new as you or completely inactive since almost a year ago.

It is almost impossible to screw up too badly unless you did a monster first ascend. If that is the case get some tailored advice.

10 million fleets per day is now a far below average growth rate.

Also, learn to detect dead accounts, and get a good "safe" farming list. Burn those turns and use the DMU to fuel your growth through fleets and enhancements.

One (totally noob) question...

Do any of the choices I make on my ascended account affect my basic SGW account? I mean growth, powerups etc.?

Thanks,

-WP

no but a really bad choice in farming in ascended can get your main account destroyed

i just farm anyone in range
and if they have a higher df i use my assassins to wipe them out then attack again

I am now trying to build up my ascended server account. is there a way to raid planets? I have not been able to figure that out.

Nope, there was once upon a time, but it was taken out.

I figured out most of the ascended server out, its vaguely like the main wars, but with different names, and of courses some of the rules changed, although I do not know what exactly what are the differences are but it seems quite similar to the main war's if you know what your doing.

I am still struggling whats the differences between the races in this server, through names / stats, and what are the similarities and differences to the main wars, I do not attack/raid anyone on the Ascended server, so I do not know what I do for attacking yet, I did made a blog about what I already know about this server, but it may not be much help.
