technically its always been a lone wolf server...it just so happens that some lone wolves don't finish their meals, and another comes along and finishes up, and it just so happens they are in the same alliance in another plane of existance...all coincidense!
on a serious note though, i agree. but the point was that people have to grow to some extent on their own, and SS will ruin that. there are other solutions though, all of which i think forum should concider carefully so he may choose one. as ive said before, its a long road to achieving balance, but the road does exist. we need to do is fill in the pot holes and add a bridge here and there, but the road does exist.

Here is the problem with ascension: people ascended for the bonuses then never played the server again. Then those people complained when their accounts were getting hammered by the people who actually did play. Then Forum made wholesale changes to the game to kowtow to these players and make it impossible to attack/descend anyone. Now he has made it unfeasible to grow beyond 700 million planets. Imagine a game where you are punished for being good......that's ascension.

Yep.
But as I said before, forum is quite simply just like a parent smothering the new baby while ignoring the older siblings.
what we need to do, and can do, is show forum that we as the older siblings don't like being locked in a closet while the new baby is spoiled with whatever s/he/it wants.

I am your link to Jason. You get a thread proving that there's a large backing and I'll take it to Jason. If it's a post of just everyone agreeing, I will do what I can to convince him of it. It's just no one has agreed upon an issue yet. The way I see it there's two sides, and that won't help getting updates.

my thread on the problems of ascension has the majority of the posters in it agreeing, and also making suggestions on top of mine to try and help. So far theres only a couple that have disagreed, but there's still a majority on it.
if you just want a thread with a yes/no vote saying fix ascension, then that can be arranged as well. tell us what we need to do to get his attention, and we'll do it. because his attention needs to be grabbed and pointed to fixing the problems thats making ascension miserable for everyone except those abusing it to gain their stat bonuses in main.

Decide on an update you want, make a topic of everyone saying yes. I mean everyone. A single disagreement can spar Jason off.

there never has been and never will be a unanimous vote for any update regarding any server. Everyone has they're opinion on the matter(s), and they're going to vote the way they feel.
If he'll accept a majority vote, then he'll get that on most of the updates that need to be put in. If he'll only accept unanimous polls then I guess were all screwed...

He has reasons for doing so, especially when an idea comes from this forum. If there is one vote of disagreement, chances are there are more, especially from players who don't have forum accounts with ascended access.

that's why i proposed in my thread in suggestions that he himself make a poll and put a link to it in the base on the ascended server. That way people who play ascension and care will come and get access and vote.
But he's not going to a unanimous vote on anything. He'll get majority votes, everything from a land slide to a 1 vote difference. But he's not going to a unanimous poll. There's just too many players for that, and this isn't a dictatorship where we mass and descend everyone who doesn't vote a certain way.

I have suggested he make ingame polls before aswell actually(wouldn't be hard to implement), but he has just kinda ignored me

Nothing will help getting updates. Jason does what Jason does when Jason does it and does not solicit outside advice. If he did, he wouldn't have half the problems in the servers that he does now. He told me he wouldn't be making any changes to ascension for months. Less than a week later, it is a crime to grow beyond 700 million planets. Perhaps if Jason made LOGICAL updates to the game, there might be a groundswell of support. But many of us are so flabbergasted by some of the changes that we don't know what to do. I have corresponded with Jason personally and he said he was going to implement a change "in a day or two". That was five days ago. No change and none likely to come. Oh well, time to get his attention.

There are only 10 people in ascensions who really want the updates mentioned, the others who want it are just trying to support their alliance, while they actually dont care ........
On the other hand you got atleast 100-150 people who think the top in ascension already has enough power, and maybe still to much ........ check out the DMU sales, you can get your input back in 1 week, and you all can stop moaning about not being gods, while you shouldnt be one in the first place.....

Have the vote done in the ascension accounts, and have a noticed dropped to all main accounts with ascended accounts.
then you can have your voting and majorly rules.
