I would be happy to organize it if there was enough desire for one, and if there was enough people willing to fly to Melbourne, Australia.

We could rent out a reception/conference hall out and go all out.

fair point to take into account is Australia is the furthest place in the world from anywhere else

Ok, so it takes 2 days to get to Australia. We're 300$ cheaper, but the flight is 45 hours long!!!!!!!!! Then the return is 37 hours!!!

I can find you much cheaper flights than that

still... 2000$ is out of budget. It'd take me a LONG time to save that much

After you finish your degree then go to Australia...a perfect time to run away from your student loan

Word of advice, don't ever fly Qantas unless you want to pay way more for something you could get elsewhere alot cheaper.

Pacific Air does the cheapest flights, via Fiji and Hawaii.
Air China also fly cheaply, as well as many other cheaper Trans -Pacific fliers.

As I said, I can help anyone with the cheapest flights and advice.

Something like this would not be happening anytime soon.
I'm also quite poor right now.

To all of those still thinking about it or tossing around the maybe word, I suggest from personal experience that you take the initiative and go as the weekend, events and the people are well worth it and they'll be plenty of memories to look back onto instead of procastinating and letting the opportunity pass on by.

Although I won't be going due to other commitments that weekend (Out Fri-Mon), what they have planned for the meetup is a blast and worked well the last time it was held (So expect bigger and better). As a bonus, without Mango or myself (Albiet with Whitey's help) present, you'll have a chance at winning the bowling and to "do a Balor".

P.S. For all the new people, watch out for Jar Jar....Now don't say I didn't warn you

To those coming on Saturday, what you will need:

Be at Kingpin at 2pm
Prepare to be photographed... by me muahahaha!
Money (at least 50 bucks)
Cofortable shoes and clothes (you need to get pretty animated in laser wars. and if you will be joining us for Retro, you will want to be able to last on the dance floor)
A sense of humour lots of laughs all night long.
ID. This is a given if you want to get in the club


Other than that, yourselves of course.
