not got much time to read the thread will do so tommorow but will post now :

Now ive always kept a high profile for a reason, because i like the forum people, and i hope most of them like me, if the majority will is this, though i dont have to, and nor does anyone else and nor should they follow my example, as i am a bad man  , i will happily be subject to a vote, why?

Because weather or not we ARE doing a good job or not, if the MAJORITY of people want to hold a vote, then i do not want to stand in there way, nor for the most part, dont wanna be somewhere where im not wanted

I think the majority of Mods do a good job most of the time and that is probably as good as it is going to get - we are all human and the mods are players so there are going to be mistakes and bias - its inevitable.

Maybe a compromise for change - half yearly elections - where existing mods can and should throw their hat into the ring. However, once you have held office for more than 2 years, you probably should give someone else a go.

Just brainstorming.

Also I think its very important to ensure that the Top Dog (Pookie) has a long tenure as Head of Mods and is appointed by Forum (for consistency sake). This role is very different and requires someone who understands the game but does not currently play (for objectivity sake).

Why do they bother?

Huh? Oh..... Fell for it didn't I?

Now for a serious note,
Its not only the mods that can (I stress the word can heavily!) be a problem within the community. ITS THE DANG COMMUNITY. Way to be bridge the connection between the community and the mods, guys; especially with a thread like this.

I blame the few mods who can't get their job right and the enumerated blithering fools who make up the community. I need not name names here, you know who you are.

Ok so, i'll do like the idea of a 6 month term where upon they may be reelective, if they choose to run and get the votes.
Oh a side note only people with 200 posts or more should vote, ( i had to pick a number somwhere). You have to apply to vote. It's your right but you got to work for it.

A special section should be set up so that the person in charge of voting lets those peolpe in that are allowed to vote.

i'm trying to prevent mulits and non forum uses from mass spamming the votes and allowing for a * strange* victory.

Maybe try it on one person for a month on one section to see if it works?

If people are so against a full overhaul why not expand the "Post Warning" system a little further?

Currently if we find reply offensive we can report it with the little "!" button and send in our reason but for the most part it's anonymous unless it's a Mod you're reporting in which case the report goes to them and they head it off at the pass.

So instead of having full elections in which case the Mods that people feel are doing their jobs need to re-apply just have votes for Mods who people think suck? If a Mod garners a few votes then put him or her on probation. If people aren't happy with their progress after that set time, out they go and in comes a replacement.

Important thing is to make it public, no more cloak and dagger in the shadows because that can fail both ways. Firstly, Mods can cover it up and secondly random forum goes can be used as pawns by players who have a bone to pick with a possibly innocent mod. If it's open air and your vote requires a reason then you can't donkey vote a Mod out of power.

Its all well and good. We talk about this stuff, reason and define solutions. But we forgot something. Our last problem is getting this stuff done.

I'll bet anything when everyone walks away, that nothing will get done.

well i will tell you some thing, i reporte a clear volation of the r=ules the other day, i showed all the messages etc, only to recieved a message, saying that all they coulld see was aperson sending rude messages.

does any one think i would post/send loads of messages just to report just rude messages, hell no, but iwas dismissed by this top admin.
9so i thought)

I replied to there message saying WTH, (basicily) i have given you all the info/proff, now act.

the reply i got was this sorry i misunderstood your message ,it was a bit confusinng, can you send it again.

I am pisse now, can anyone say my posts are confusing.

i don;t keep messages, i send messages expecting them to be read properly, not just dismiissed & deleted.

so i did not bother to respond, so yet another multi got away with abusing the system.

as for getting rid of the currant mods, i say yes to most, but there are a few who do a brilliant job.

they have got to big for there boots, there should be a commitee of non mods, yes like me, who has played the game, understands the game & could not give a fuc# if they upet peoples. there are a few of us who will be honest & open about who should be mods & why they should be accepted that they mod us.
