It's pretty good, but gameplay isn't much different from Halo 2 in my opinion. The campaign is shoddy, they dumbed down the ally AI and cranked up the enemy AI, so when you're running with the Arbiter, he's basically useless. Still though, I do enjoy that big hammer.....makes me feel like Thor. It is much more polished than Halo 2, but I didn't notice any hugely significant changes besides the kick-ass new weapons.

However it is good enough to make a hardcore PC gamer test out the console, and I have two days experience of playing Xbox now because of Halo 3. I've moved from getting one or two kills to winning matches against the other guys here in my residence hall. All in all, it's worth the $60 but not the $130 that was asked for the Legendary Edition or whatever it was.

One thing that I have enjoyed is getting together with 3 other friends on LIVE and playing the campaign mode. That makes it a lot of fun.

so what do people think of it so far in terms of online play?

I'm beginning to really dislike 10 year old Korean boys that play this game all day every day. I'm getting pwned left and right, but love playing online... and loving the fact you can co-op online as well.

Ive been playing halo 3 non stop since it came out great game, mostly what i was hoping for. Level 6 and 7 are perfect halo and ive replayed them each atleast 10 times the campain mode is a vast improvment over halo 2 and the arbiters AI is fairly good. He saved my life a couple times

halo 3 multiplayer is also addictive im just 6 multiplayer achievments away from unlocking all 1000 gamer points. Im pretty good at it. Much better then everyone i know. only thing i dislike about halo 3 is matchmaking, how you could be stuck with a terrible team (happened many times to me )

not to mention the fact that the best game mode dosnt show up in it. infection. Im the best zombie ever when i get the oppurtunity to play it with friends in custom games

i might be interested in joing a SGW clan even though i dont play with a mic coz everyone on xbox live always asks me "ScotishPredator...are you scottish? say something in scottish"

tried that for the first few weeks but my reputation ended up going way down so i had to stop now i reserve it for when people call me dyslexic for speling scottish wrong...its xbox lives faul,t damn 15 character gamertag limit
