I doubt if I ask admins if game suggestions is a place like public dump and temple of moose where you post spam and meaningless posts that have nothing at all to add to the topic, uninteresting ones and so on, they will confirm.
It's game suggestions, not dump topic suggestions

Guys stop spamming.

Apophis The Great wrote:It's too easy, you just need to mass all planets from an alliance (those who have too big def/you just want to destroy and not steal to keep it), with enough AT supply, then ask people from alliance to each steal one then abandon it or even not steal it.
We had planet thiefs, now this will make them jump back in the place in heavy numbers!
NOT even to mention skyrocketting amount of multies with only fleets!!

Ok presently, planets can be massed. 1 person can mass an unlimited amount of planets. The only way to stop it is if the masser mistakenly takes a planet or runs out of turns. Presently alliances have planet teams designed solely for stripping planets from singular accounts and massing entire alliance planets. When a planet is taken the def will need to be replaced and the facilities rebuilt to return it to what it was preattack.

presently multi's steal planets in attempts to sell them or use them for profit. Destroying them negates that.

Now My "Planet Destroying" idea would simply mean that an attack could take a planet by normal mean. Just like it is now. After you have successfully taken a planet and after the 12 or 24 hr period, you could then pay an amount of naq to "Destroy" it.

Now since the "Destroy" feature will have 2 side effects/downfalls, I dont see it being used lightly or by multi's. First, there should be a cost to do it. Possible 1/2 the cost of the last planet size increase? So a Mind blowing planet (1 trill to upgrade to that size) would possible cost 500 bill to destroy. Second, your not going to destroy it in your realm, so it would be a MS action similar to "exploring" that would take your MS out of the realm for 24 hrs.

I have put limits on the idea, hows that?

mmmm.... and what an option to reset the planet instead of destroying it... dont know... not exactly to what it is but, every time a planet is sent to that 10 days out of space place, the planet resets to a non known planet, and when its back its like when u make a new one in market, no stats at all...... that will make it even funnier, imagine a 50k up planet going back to nothing... cause i think paying half trillion to destroy a planet is not something many can afford.... at least i cant

I would like to see a way to down grade planet sizes as well.

I really dont understand the idea of actually increasing the physical size of a planet, i always thought it meant increasing the infrastructure of the planet to allow more population. I would like to see attacks that could down grade a planet as well as destroy one.

I mean really, if you completely destroy all the defenses and the facilities of a planet, its no better then one you get from market.

The ideea of downgrading them is the best. Due the downgrade you would loose some bonus though, but them, putting defence on it will cost less.

And, if we can buy defences, why can't we sell them :D ?

well if im right the idea will allow a lot of planets to be reseted and that includes more options to see duals.... and yes to increase or decrease a planet size have no sense if it doesnt allow u something extra buf defenses, wich are becoming insignificant as many now can affor a lot of fleets :-D

If you downgrade them you shouldn't be allowed to have more defense on the then the max for that level (e.g. 100 defense on a tiny planet)

They should be sold at the "old rate" for the previous planet size.

Just take out MPDSD for crying outloud... or maket that while its merlined a planet does not give bonuses.

But I`m not holding my breath since I assume that USS sales have multiplid drastically on account of it.

But very balancing to the game btw. Keep it up, untouchable planets giving 1mil+UP & multipling minute strikes 10-fold will do wonders for the game in the long run. (for some of us) *thumbsup*

I have always thought that we should be able to destroy planets...

But here is my idea...
it takes your mothership with it.......

the problem with any resource cost to destroy a planet is the following. Those multies the thread touched on... its not hard for some players to make certin large amounts of any resourse in the game... all it requires is a modivation... insted of building there infustructure they would focus on destroying others.

perhaps a planet supression atk of some sort. A player sends his ms or an alliances ms armada to supress the atribute of a planet or planets, with ofcourse the idea that the target player has had his ms massed... not only does it leave them open for like retailiation but it could open up other options for the whole thing...
maybe when the mss' are supressing the players planets the assaulted player could rebuild his ms at the same time to repel the supressing force at a small or moderate bonuse to atk... call it suprise atk or whatever.
