Plague and Upper Population Limits changed (Effects ONLY accounts with over 100million units)
The 'maximum units' before plague and disease hit your realm has been increased and made dynamic. It is set at about 200million units currently, before the plague sets in. This amount grows daily, and can be seen in the 'training' area of your account.
If/when the plague hits you, it is more severe, and increases both with time, and the further from above the maximum sustainable population you grow - it would be wise to establish your death rates (visible in your population summaries when over the limit) and ensure your growth is greater than you death rate, if you wish to continue to grow your population....





What I really want to know about is what percent the caps are set at.

Not everybody started this game at the same time. there are people starting every day and as soon as they learn just how out of proportion SGW is now, with a majority of the upper echelon now skating to 100mil army with 0 effort, it's a pretty dim picture.

ingame notice should always be given in one of thosee little messages in our command center. So yes this was a problem

As for the cap i think we'll soon see the repercussions, turns going to 250bil/k and uu selling at 1.2tril/mil. Then we'll all be laughing our way to the games' demise

I am still interested to know why the new threshold for plague just about doubled. I'm not angry like what seems to be mostly everyone.. just curious.

It's really a balancing act. It might seem like it gives a boost to the bigger players but all the updates can't always gimp them either. It gives them a reason to play and not just keep getting angrier and angrier. What I think would balance a bit of it out is if we had some sort of attack rank modifier so bigger players just can't stomp all over the smaller ones. I know people can say "go to perg" if they are messing with you but what happens when you are just above the perg limit (50mill or abouts?) and some bug guy comes in with 200 mill army size..

I don't believe this was the correct way to do this a huge jump from 50million to 100million for buying UU
75-150million for raiding
100-200 for plague

50-70 buying
70-100 raiding
150 plague kicks in, would have been a better way to do it for now, would allow people to grow, but at a slower rate keeping things a little fairer.
also plague is a little steep now with death rates

thats never going to happen, even if it did the bigger guys would still be alot bigger
most 'big' guys have over 500k UP by now, most with 600-800k

Well on the plus side. I can't wait for the next big war to start. Massive casualties await!

'bump' for official word on what the threshold on raiding and plague are based on.
