BTW, please don't leave the mods and come back in 2 months because the mods can't work togther and u hope by then that its fixed, maybe this time u can stay around.

I modded for a year and a half before i left, I was quite entitled to that.

As for the team, Im sorry mystake, But you are no part of the mod team, You should not forget that.

as buck quite clearly said, a forum has to be loose. Its meant to be a place of freedom, joy and a location you can express yourself without the main constraints of the real world. If you start nutting people for a simple case of masking im presuming the use of 'BS'.will be next. Should we start making plans to have 'bloody', 'ass', screw you and others akin to them replaced to? Maybe all sexual references...WAIT! I have it! Ok..ive got a friend who went to a college in yorkshire called ampleforth. Its run by fanatical nuns! Why dont we just skip the middle man and go ahead and make them admins right away?

The Idea here is to create a concrete rule. Yes forums are places to be enjoyed, but then life is also made to be enjoyed yet there are laws, are there not? You murder a man you go to jail, you break a rule you get punished.

In the end, the mods are abused by the players because the mods aren't able to completely justify themselves without question.

I say the mod team is here for one purpose they wish to acomplish that purpose via series of rules if this helps them acomplish it so be it...

After they will do a poor job or not it will be a lot more easier to judge...


I see SGW forums as a way to manifest yourself, your fun you have ingame...
Do you need to use the F word or whatever to acomplish that?


Each to their own mods set the rule for a reason trust in the right of the rule...

I think it's a very good idea as it sets a definate rule which can be respected and is not open to mod interpretation. you swear (even with masking) and your banned.

That's usually right, but normally a person's attitude will speak more accurately than the number of days they've seen in their lives. This is in no way a dig at blind people.

I'd rather there not be age discrimination, but we seriously need someone mature in charge. Not only mature, but with leadership, experience and insight.

The major problem with the game and the forum is that most members (staff inclusively) are waaaay too serious. I can't believe that we've reached a point where people want mods to be officially accountable for the power they have, scrutinize their every move, want to vote for them... soon we'll have mod unions, money laundering scandal accusations, taxes on members and the forum will issue its own currency. We'll no longer ban people, we'll hunt them down and put them in jail... oooh yeaaaah.

We'll also stage wars in foreign forums, and others will have protests "NO to e-blood for bandwidth"! Soon people will lose their rights and find themselves in Guantanamo-e-bay

At the end of the day, the forum is the peoples, not yours nor mine, Thats why i make it my buisiness not to set out definitive rules (see guidelines) and why i make it my buisiness to get involved in mod affairs, because i know what the vast majority of people want, wereas mystake, You dont. Simple as that.

If I can add my 2 cents, I support this. The rules (or guidelines) should be clear to everybody and enforced equally on everybody (with an option to appeal). That's the basic basics. If that is to work properly, the basics needs to be honoured.
