yeh, but they are in town, so if and when the captains get pwned by Aizen, Tosen and Gin (and possibly the 3 top espada?) then they can step in

well i have a feeling it will be like this...

Gin Vs small captain )with the silver ice dragon banki)
tosen Vs his two friends before he leaves soul society for Aizen
Espada 1,2,3... 10(the bald guy whose arm is cut by icigho before) Vs Captains
Espada 4 Vs Icigho's dad (might be that when icigho's dad is gonna get beaten icigho will come and kick his ass)
The other guys in the captains shop in earth.. Vs Other espadas mostly.

also, lets not forget that ichi still has a conversation to have with his inner hollow.

My guess is that he will be able to turn completely into hollow form like when he fought his internal battle

i dunno, Ulquirra's helmet type mask remnant is almost identical to the image given when a Vasto Lord was described by Hitsuguya
