The problem is - G&R was only ever intended to be used for Ascension, and Ascension only. It has now been expanded (according to game updates) so that you can buy full SS with G&R.

Perhaps Forum does not intend for it to ever be used for anything else? If that is the case then it doesn't matter if the size of this thread doubles - it won't happen.

Personally, I do not want to see G&R used for anything else - although there are some good ideas here which could be implemented some other way.

wudnt that make all of the 6 times ascended players in the high ranks making either 5 or 10 G&R points per turn cud make loads of this idea but ill be one of those people soon so i think its a great idea lol

great idea i like poppys %'s but why do goauld get 10% covert and rest 5 why not all like 5 7.5 or 10?

i also disagree with hux and wolf there is no reason to not expand on what the gr does

Which goes to prove that you have missed the point and the basis for the argument against using G&R in this fashion.

I did not say I was agaisnt it - and have in fact supported Bahamut's idea at some point in this thread (if you'd have read it all you'd have noticed that) - but I am stating the fact why I think it will not be implemented - at least not in the way suggested.

it is good idea for forcing ppl to gain ranks as it is now lot of them don't wan't to progress further or they are thinking about quiting it

to equilaze the power balance

The power balance is already there, because people have to reset their account every time they ascend.

Ascend = repeated wipings, more than 35 billion per ascension, just to get back near the GR ranks, losing alot of UU and naq every time you ascend.

At the end of all that, you'll have bonuses to all your stats, not just whatever you had as a lower race.

Don't ascend = no resets, no need to rebuild every time, more time to increase your stats, no need to rebuy UP levels all the time, etc etc etc.

But the way it is now is that the person chose to not use the tank and instead used the rifle. Then they cried it was not fair that others had a tank and they only had a rifle.

Some accounts have a serious problem with ascending though. Since I cannot be specific I will just say they are now in a position that it is EXTREMELY costly for them to ascend. Since information about ascending is not public it cannot be said that it is their fault for getting into the position they are in. So their should be some way to lower the cost of ascending. Maybe requiring extra GR points to have that option might help.
