No have you not read the rules lately, to prove you have friends you must be in an alliance :P
If you arent in an alliance you are not allowed friends or any outside assistance.

I have a more radical suggestion: Daimon->enhanced basic race

Daimon doesn't keep ascended wepaons.
It gets Tauri strike weapons and Asgard ones in defence.
Also gets Tauri strike tech , and Asgard def tech.
It gets replicator covert tech and their cost of levels.
Income depends on the ascended level previously achieved. The same thing replaces old race bonuses. So a former LG+1 would give 30% race bonus to all stats.
MS is like goauld/ascended race one.
Daimon doesn't get any unique technology.

Now a little calculation:
a prior with the 1 best weapons and 1 super:
Strike Action : 159,365
Defensive Action : 144,900

daimon if converted when the player was a prior:
Strike Action : 104,671
Defensive Action : 103,194

daimon if converted when the player was a LG(default tauri strike and asgard def):
Strike Action : 124,609
Defensive Action : 122,850

daimon if converted when the player was a LG+1:
Strike Action : 129,593
Defensive Action : 127,764

So this is the double edge sword: those who stay ascneded keep the ascended weapons and their stats are 1,4-1,5 times better. But Daimon weapons are 3,5-4 times cheaper. So a DAimon race can build up a lot faster.

4) If you wish to DESCEND YOURSELF - ie 'quit ascension' .. you can. You will become a 'Daimon' - basicly a fallen divinity...This is the only race open to fallen ascendeds who chose their own demise...The bonuses are: whatever your ascended account had at the time of banishing yourself, MINUS the ascended blessing (so no unique tech to this race.) You maintain full bonuses in att/def/income/cov and your weapon strengths...From this race, you can choose a fully mortal race, or keep this race. No other options.


Basicly I have my doubts about this one...
you can descned to a "daimon" ... but what if...
well let me explain,
someone goes to LG+1 (with all the plusses...) what if the guy descends himself to a daimon, and restarts ascending, does he/she gets all the bonusses again?

no it will work the same as now they will need to change to a non ascended race losing the bonuses and also restarting ascension but only having the same amount left they had previous I'm guessing

This really is the best idea so far about Daimons that I've seen.

I have to agree. This DAIMON suggestion is the best that I have seen so far, if you are going to keep DAIMONS in the game. I suggest that you don't. It goes along with the "high risk/high reward" aspect that ascension was ORIGINALLY created with. If you descend yourself, that's fine. You shouldn't get bonuses. You go back to a non-ascended race. However you keep your knowledge of the ascended realms (ie. what you learned there whilst you were ascended) so that, should you decide to ascend again, you can better allocate your APP the next time. That's a double edged sword.

Some people don't want to play the ascended server... I think for those that wish only to play main the Daimon feature gives him a chance while still putting him at a significan't disadvantage if you wish to fight at all. (The double losses would be crippling if you were involved in any wars, you'd nearly be better descended tbh.)

if you don't want to play ascended you should have never ascended daimon thing is terrible give half bonuses take away the weapons but they should be allowed to sell them or get the full price back but like mato said let them buy the tauri weapons and the asgard weapons

I think the Daimon update should be this one becasue else nobody will use it so it`ll be like it`s not there in my opinion, like Lord_Zeus told better descended...
