316 is being called -108. Does that mean we get a 108 chapter flashback arc of ancient bleach history?

i dunno, wouldn't think they would give 108 chapters of history

(a) There is a big fight abt to kick off

(b) it would be boring after a while

(c) they probably want to keep a lot of the history secret from the fans for a while at least


and yeh, urahara does look funny, i wonder who the previous squad 12 leader was (the one being promotd) and the criteria for premotion to Zero Squad!?

108 chapters wouldn't be boring, and theres always the possibility that this upcoming battle is the last major battle. If that's the case, this is a good time for major flashbacking.

the way i read the -108, is that the flashback is 108 years ago, so it is bleach -108 years

I somehow knew that, but I liked my idea better.

And it has to end sometime. Preferably when its still good, before the DBZ effect takes over completely and ruins it entirely.

yeh the DBZ thing has started to creep in as of late, maybe it'll finish in a year or two lol

[spoiler]When you look at the former ranks of the known former captain/vice-captain Vizard, a trend appears

Rose was captain of division 3 and was replaced by Gin Ichimaru

Shinji Hirako was captain of division 5 and was replaced by Aizen Sosuke

Love Aigawa was captain of division 7

Hiyori Sarugaki was vice-captain of division 12 and her captain was Urahara Kisuke

Lisa Yadōmaru was vice-captain of division 8

Now, if you look at it, Rose and Shinji, were replaced by the Aizen and Gin. I suspect that they were exiled at the same time. Now, we also know Kensei Muguruma is a former captain of an unknown division. My guess is that he was the captain of division 9 and was replaced by Kaname Tōsen

if you think abt it, Hiyori was Urahara's lietenant and they were both exiled!

I reckon Aizen was behind the deseating of the viazard captains and lietenants and also of Urahara Kisuke, or very deeply involved[/spoiler]

yes, thats my suspicion

only thing is he described the viazard as being a mysterious group, implying he doesn't know much abt them

though he was able to oversee ichigo when he gained his shinigami powers and gained his inner hollow

[spoiler]Urahara isn't a vaizard, he had no idea how to help ichigo with his inner hollow, if he was he WOULD know. and we KNOW why he was expelled, that gagigi rukia was in...[/spoiler]

just because he didn't help ichigo overcome his hollow, doesn't mean he doesn't know.

ichigo assumed that urahara had trained him all he could. however, it was not urahara that oversaw ichigo's bankai training
