I suspect he was a bit blown away by the already-drank level of alcohol consumption. He turned up sober, and probably went home the same! With you to deal with too! Haha

Was a great night indeed. Although i spent FAR too much money. Shame some people had other commitments they couldn't get out of but it was still great to meet Luis, Greg and Pops and seeing Shaun again.

Semper said he'll make the trip down south for the next one, you guys better come too!

In other news, thanks so much for coming Pops, really really appreciate you coming all the way to see us and it was a pleasure to meet you in person. If by next year I have a car and a job i will see about driving some people to Paris!

I second that. Also it cost me quite a bit this meeting (€400+). Looks like you and me had the biggest "sacrifices" (your job; and about three months worth of spare € for me). Was a great time in bars and out in Manchester, aaand as I said in the forums, I didn't get drunk!
However it wasn't so easy to follow you guys speaking, not the slowest speakers definitely lol!

Also, about the pics, well the funniest is the one with Louis and the blue light glasses!

Such a shame Jo couldn't make it. Was the disappointing thing of this meeting.

Btw, note to MCJ, I did come back by walking as I said I would from MU stadium to avoid paying the bus ticket. However, Google Maps says it takes 59min to go from Old Trafford to my hotel by walk, in reality, by doing nonsense for 2/3 of the walking, it took me 1h40. I even walked a part in the highway (towards Salford/Man Center after I left Stretford street I think) lol!

Now that I think about it, I should have paid the ticket instead!

Jelly, sounds like you all had a blast...I watched a film, wasn't much good either

Most of us were pretty certain you wouldn't be attending. I think any actual disappointment that existed was more missing out on the meeting between you and Jim to see how that would have gone.

Man Called Jim.. you were a good laugh, as I expected you to be, I reckon you'd be a pretty good guy to have lived with or gone to uni with... which brings me onto.. DR. Always a great joy to meet up with Dan even if it is so rare! Brilliant chap! Somehow you managed to get me drinking Jagerbombs.. I will have to tell Tyber and Duke of this as they've failed for the last three years.

Finally Greg. Our time spent chatting really was fleeting and I should have engaged you more with politics but what little I did exchange with you I did enjoy. It's nice to see Mordack isn't quite as cerebrally brutal in person as he is here! I'll try and remember to give you that reply I owe you.

As a final note.. like I mentioned above. I'm gonna try and get down south to the London area late april/first week of may. In the mean time however I do believe Phil and I have already begun discussing another meet in Liverpool between now and then (probably IN april).

You are crazy! The bus ticket was only like £2.50! Glad you managed to get back though.
