for my say on the original subjcet, goa'uld would win
1) shields pwn no shields
think bout it. if i shoot you in the foot, and you dont have shields, will it hurt? if you have shields how ever.....
2) numbers. the Goa'uld, can support a large amount of jaffa and kull warriors. the wraith can aswell, but the goa'uld have more
3) the goa'uld may have been gotten kicked by the Asgard, replicators and Tauri for reasons
the asgard were the good guys in the show, were quicker to get to places and simply had a really big ship (thors chariot) the replis outnumbered most ppl so that wasnt fair. and the tauri have ONE planet. just one. in a stand up fight, they would be wiped out. they rely on stealth.
4) organic ships for the wraith. this may b good, but they would only b able to heal when not in combat. and with the speed of the goa'uld, they would constantly harass them
5) fleet size. the goa'uld can field a HUGE fleet. combine every system lord and their fleets, and thats one big fleet. (goa'uld been in their pime mind you)
6) tech. goa'uld have the better tech. they have shields, rapid fire energy weaps, cloking tech, ring technology. a single cloked hatak could take out a hive ship. you cant hit wat u cant see
7) tactics. the goa'uld have had generations of war. the wraith, after the ancients, have had next to no resistence
