i understand the whole thing about you playing for ages and that you have lost this benefit you gained from jumping on the band wagon a long time before every one else.

this is just a few facts. mate of mine is really high in ascended and he did his ascensions a while ago. i am quite new but played it properly with a big ascension (for me). at the moment i have a higher charisma level then him.

okay so that looks really unfair right?

i have 10 million planets, he has over 100mil, i have no chance (in the next while) to catch up to him. because power ups are not everything, i see the army size still playing a large role.

phoenix, your mate has a higher CER then you, but... you have what? like 200mil planets, your income is going to keep you ahead, Life force is still not a viable option to trade for dark matter to upgrade your fleet count.

even though with his higher CER he will catch you, if you play smartly (which im sure you can, considering your ranks) you will definitely hold your position. this update just makes the server much more fluid.

it is true if some one is much higher then some one new, that that new guy can catch up but if the guy that is bigger is a better player, he will win out.

thanks admin for making ascension worth playing. and giving me arthritis from clicking so much

everyone just play it abit and see what happens with the ranks (phoenix i have noticed your rank hasnt changed yet)

You can't compete in main without ascending. If you don't believe me go change your race...

I tried at one point, got forced to ascend. As for the tauri and asgard weapons that may work... but the double unit losses would have to go. Its pretty damaging already...

I went ahead and tried the login multiple times with different CaSe SeNsItIvItY on the password but to no avail. I finally gave up when I was told that the account had been banned permanently for too many failed password attempts. :? ;)

For those of you that are really small and have a lot of clicking to do, try this. Use firefox, then when you click, hold enter. It will save you a lot of time and finger pain

Ok heres one.

If you wish to DESCEND YOURSELF - ie 'quit ascension' .. you can. You will become a 'Daimon' - basicly a fallen divinity...This is the only race open to fallen ascendeds who chose their own demise...The bonuses are: whatever your ascended account had at the time of banishing yourself, You maintain full bonuses in att/def/income/cov and your weapon strengths...From this race, you can choose a fully mortal race, or keep this race. No other options. I.e if you were a prior 5% bonus would apply to all stats, if you were a living god+1 it'd be 30% (i think thats right the ol noggin is a bit rusty)

Similar to the Ascended Blessing bestowed upon you for being the Shell of an Ascended Being, the Betrayal felt by your chosen De-Ascension, fundementally stealing Ascenion knowledge and power before becoming a demi-god, your fellow fully Ascended Beings have bestowed an Ascended Unblessing, it works exactly like the normal Ascended Blessing but in reverse. (The Ascended Unblessing technologies in the technology page are automatically aquired thanks to Divine Intervention) I can't remember the exact figures on ascended blessing but im sure it goes something like,
Prior no blessing, Prophet 5% chance, Incarnet 10% chance, e.t.c e.t.c, brain is getting rusty. The same will be the case in the Daimon, accept the blessing instead of doubling stats will half them. (i believe that is what happens, sorry rusty brain)
So where as you will have all the same power as a normal ascended shell account where they get "lucky" whilst attacking/being attacked you will get "unlucky" this is the price you will pay for betrayal.

(Note to future Daimons, you may have noticed whilst farming ascended beings getting lucky and you having to spend an extra attack well it'll be just like that accept against mortals aswell, and more frequent, you may find battling against an ascended account tricky at best, well they have the power of the gods behind them you do not, you merely nicked there weapons so that is the way it should be.)

Best of all it will be easy to code, for you already have the code, you just need to make a couple of small adjustments, i.e stick a "-" in =P , altho im sure its not that simple, it can't be far from it.

Short version for the lazy people.

Daimons retain all bonus's an ascended shell gets at the time of there self-banishing. I.e a LG+1 will still get +30% to all stats.
The Ascended Blessing also stays but instead of a blessing it is an unblessing, The Ascended Unblessing. The exact reverse of the Bless, a chance to Half your strike/defence power in an attack/attack against you based upon how many times you had ascended. The "luck" you had when Divine turns to "Misfortune" now you've fallen.

Double edged sword time. 12agnar0k's idea has merit. But I am going to suggest something even more radical. Against non-ascended opponents, a Daimon has a significant advantage. All of his bonuses (except for ascended blessing) and the superior weapons. However, when fighting an ascended being in main, he gets NONE of his bonuses (the gods take a dim view of those who take the knowledge and power back to the mortal realms and thus temporarily strip the DAIMON of his power). I am not sure how easy or hard it would be to code that but I have faith that Jason could make it happen. Again, I am going on the assumption that DAIMONS are here to stay. My first preference would obviously be to NOT have them at all. But if we do have them, they should have limited effectiveness against ascended beings since ascended beings have no effect on them.

true...how bout like this:

he has all bonuses...except ascended blessing...and when fighting those who are ascended he can't use his bonuses....and when fighting those who are unasceded...well..he can use 1/2 of his bonuses...would be fair..lol

In essence my idea would do the same Mojo, but your idea has merit aswell.

The difference between our two ideas would be, mine lessens the advantage the Daimons have over mortals, mine lessens the advantage the Ascended's would have over Daimons in your Idea. Which makes it sort of fairer. Also adds luck to the equation, we all love a bit of luck in the mix.

Both are good ideas, more effective and much less complicated than some ive read lol.

The idea of the Double edged sword anybody suggesting one, is to try and reverse any unfair advantage being given, this is most easily achieved in a balanced manner by attacking the unfair advantage directly by reversing the route of unfairness, not coming up with a wacky new route like "double losses" think how hard it would be to balance that

he would still have a massive advantage over mortals, they cant ascend to take him down via de-ascention either cos he is immune.
In addittion simply removing the blessing when battling isnt really enough as it is a chance thing, doubling the chance of unsuccess, or using a lower figure as suggested else where, will add to the chances making them more fair.

unless i mis-read and you were saying that he'd loose all of and half of his 30% all time bonus respectively then yeah thats cool too :)

Serenity the problem is yes I got higher planet count (160mil) but their production level is ALSO MUCH higher, so while I have mroe planets, theya re getting more income than me, and while they simply get nearly as many charisma then me, i still losing ground like 3mil planets a day to them, 10days thats 30mil planets. At the start they were below 100mil but now are like 125mil. So soon any income advantage I got is gone, since when their planets = my planets their production means im screwed. Not just one or 2 people either.. tos of people are moving up quickly..


Effect 2. Before updates I had like 2- 3mil planets a day, making a gap between 140 and 95 HUGE, now since we all got way over 10mil planets a day, the gap becomes tiny, just a few days worth, so instantly planets are useless.
