I definitely have to give the writers some credit. This may be one of the best season ending cliffhangers in franchise history.
If this doesn't give us some hope for the future of this series, then I'm not sure what will.

considering the trustworthiness of the lucian alliance, there's guaranteed to be some shooting...

right... there's been some time since someone last died but didnt die, but it is harder to die in stargate than otherwise... at least for major characters...

Now i must say episode 20 when the lusian alliance invaded that was epic.

But the tactics were crap they retreated once granades exploded.Fired 4 times then runned i would of holded my ground as the attackers will taKE more losses then the defending area.Again they should of opened fire as soon as they came through the gate.Every invasion of stargate the army(Of any race) always defended the front of the gate.

As for another incarnus base then how the hell did they find that.

The tauri know what the lusians are like what fleet size they have etc so why didnt they see this coming.

I think the tauri back home have let their gaurd down sice the fall of the goauld and need to lock down the area and secure check points to the atlantis city and destiny.

the lucian alliance has many times the number of ships earth has...
and it would appear that they have improved the ships somehow...

Remember - this is based around SGU, so they are making it interesting. In reality, they would have held the gate room while the disoriented individuals were rounded up and escorted to a locked room. Nothing new.

yeah they could of vaped them from the start but it needs to look interesting, besides the alliance would of sent a stun bomb or something like todd did to teh Daedalus that one SGA episode.

True, there are so many possible scenarios. However, I believe the only real 'realistic' one would have been the people waiting for them in the gate room.

Lucian Alliance might or might not have thrown a stun bomb, it's not unlikely..but imagine throwing a stun grenade into that portal when people fly threw it.

the last 3 episodes of season 1 were by far imo the best episodes ever so far..apart from the first one ofcourse.
almost as good as lost episodes lol

and the reason why they didnt camp in the gate room, is cause the enemy can send a bomb through which can srsly kill the camping army

i have a sneaking suspicion she might recover, to make it very tough to fix the ship/survive. Also, maybe the Aliens who came after destiny come aboard since it is temporarily vulnerable to them. Can't wait to see the new season in October lol.

the new season will come in october???...damn

there are various scenarios to the last episode, I see that Varos, one of the soldiersin the lucian alliance isn`t as cruel as Kewa tbh and I think he will do something to prevent the guy that took over the command to shoot them and perhaps join the ranks of the humans and few others since his goal isn`t to wipe out the current crew but work together with them for a common goal 8)

The first episode with the Lucian alliance and whether or not Telford was a spy was a great episode....the two incursion episodes have been a let down for me....riddled with plotholes, character inconsistencies, etc.....

Tactics:
- Defending the gate would be a bad move as Kiva would send through stun grenades - venting the atmosphere was a good idea. However, his command decision not to vent was stupid....instead resorting to a gunfight in which he exposed his entire command?! A simple way around it would have been the Lucian Alliance bringing through some kind of breathing apparatus until they could break through into other sections of the ship. That way you get good tactics from both sides, and an interesting confrontation.....

- Young's decision not to attack when Telford opened up that corridor because the Lucian vampire got dusted was another mistake - he had the element of surprise and a clear line of access to their section of the ship....He then says only a few minutes after passing up this opportunity, "lets end this now", when he could have done that moments before....

I'm finding Young hard to believe as a military commander.....maybe if they're trying to set him up as a bit of a bodger who backs down, but definitely not as a great commander....heck, he then surrenders all his people to the mercy of a very ruthless woman....

Other problems:
- Why does no one wonder where Eli and Cloe are until right near the end? Surely TJ or someone would have radioed Young with the specifics of who had been captured so they could be sure they were telling the truth.....
- Why did the ship not jump to FTL straight after the dial in? If it recognised the danger, why would it wait there for longer than necessary?
- Chloe and Eli were wasted in the episodes - I thought Eli would stumble across the real command deck, or find the control panel and save the day.....instead they're stumbling around nowhere and are going to open a hatch
- Fairly sure they're not going to kill Scott and Grear....maybe they could and have the well-endowed woman and the sympathetic Lucian guy as the main army contingent, but otherwise you're leaving a massive gap....
- TJ may die, or at least lose the baby - likewise with Telford. But I can't see them massacring the rest of the soldiers, Young included.
- Presumably they don't kill all the Lucians so they'll probably join up as a part of the crew....can anyone say Voyager? Marquis?!!

Didn't much like the episodes really....it was a bit of a repeat of the standoff between the civilians and soldiers earlier in the season but probably less interesting.....it needed more manouvering, more action, more tension.....heck the only casualty on "our" side so far was that Rivers she executed apparantly.....

Could have been great after that awesome thriller episode with Rush/Telford.....but fell well short for me....
