Perhaps, if I may interject, 7 System Lord council members and 13 lower ranked System Lords.

So as to keep just one System Lord from invoking toltalitarian, dictatorship, or tyrant forms of governing.

what would the purpose of this council be? The Goa'uld Empire has an own council and this one here would be filled with System Lords who have Ancients, Tauri and whatever other races within their alliance, maybe even with a higher rank then them, so they would be incapable of acting.

So out of curiosity, what does this council do? I ask because I have not heard of them.

I always thought there was no such council hints this topic here...

There is no council...

so then... we have two views on this topic now...

1. we have a council according to Reschef.

2. we have no council according to Locke.

So does this mean we are perhaps going to have two councils that go to war with eachother. Just like religion!

Like I first stated... The council was talked about for awhile and came to nothing. However, if there is a council, let them come forth. There is no need to hide in the shadows for you're suppossed to be the Gods of Gods.

@LC: The council Lord Reschef is speaking of is the one within the GE Empire. I speak of this council which was suppossed to "govern" all SL n Goauld within SGW.

Locke, Reschef was refering to the GE HC.

So the GE is the Goa'uld Empire and it has a High Council that is the System Lord Council. Okay, well atleast i know this now. Thank you.

Out of curiosity, what does this council do anyway? our race is still divided and weak. Understandably things like this take time. Still, in order to become a strong unified race we need to bring our weaker brethern into the fold and help empower them.

We are seperate to the proposed SL High council. The SL HC is/was made up of system lords in mixed alliances, although very powerful.

The GE was raised to provide help to ALL goauld. We are formed from a few Goauld only alliances which we have brought together.

We look to increase the Goauld power however not to the extent of allowing non goauld within our ranks, although we do have a non-goauld affiliation that are "for the cause"

We have helped many goauld grow in power by providing a framework for them to learn, grow and be protected.

well I'll have to visit your forum although I won't join. perhaps as a lone wolf. I wish to become powerful first

if i may interject perhaps we should start our own council for all of the pure system lord/ goa'uld council. I would be very very involved in the creation of this council. Reschef your goa'uld council within teh empire is teh goa'uld empires council and not the voice of all of the rest of us goa'uld alliances besides you (no hostility intended).

That's simply because we're some of the most powerful all Goa'uld alliances...
