admin wont use g&r... at least thats how we've understood it...
the problem isnt the transfer of the resources... its the possibility to use multies to make the planets, then transfer them...
so the cost would have to be very high, yet also having a component that makes it impossible to transfer...
maybe have a piece of code that is like:

if planet "P" younger than X days = true
and
player owns created dual = true
then
disallow stealing of planet "P" by player Y
(yes, this is only pseudo-code... we've not got knowledge of proper coding...)
anyways, that'd stop multiing... especially if "X" was set to something like 60 days...

It would get stolen before 60 days I would think. I still don't see someone multing to do something they can do on their own, but I get your point.

lore, of course it could be stolen before then.... but only by those not having a such dual already... thus the problem of someone multiing to create duals would be pretty much solved...

It still think the G&R is a good way to stop mutlies, but if admin doesn't like it I'm sure there are other ways.

LOL i've got an idea!
everyone get some paper and take this down.
REMOVE anyone with under 10000 army size, ( send them into perment vacation mode) ( 1 month inactive)
Therefore you reduce the amount of people that can get into GR range.
Secondly. All new accounts start with 10k up, and 100k uu!
now as to all the people that might be effected, well honest what are you doing below 10k now anyways, ( there are tonnes of people you can raid for 4-5k a hit, So.. your not really playing!
Now as i haven't read the rest of this topic, i would further suggest, that you can go beyond duals, and go to Quads, ofcourse the number of GP increase for each, 10 fold!. Should make it a bit harder to get in the top ranks then!
BTW anyone complaining how this would screw over ascension, It's suppose to be an elite server, if you can't get into the elite rankings to get your GP, then i guess you aren't elite!

@ HE,,, i like and agree with many points, but how does this effect ascention?
@ Pef,, i remeber, and i liked the idea then too.
I still say we need a way to shrink or destroy planets tho.

How about a special nuke/energy weapon on your MS that you can only use once a week to destroy planets?

I dont know about merging. I was thinking you could bring your planets into an orbit and form a galaxy(but it would take a weeks mothership power fromt he strain of moving them into alignment). They would work together to defend each other and produce goods. Since they are defending more territory they cost more in defensive power but you get more from production upgrades. Each planet would remain take-able separately. But would get more bonus from having them group sort of like when you update the size you get a free upgrade on the attribute. Would open up all sorts of options like galaxy invasions multiple motherships working together at once. Different types of planet attacks things such as that.

Yea could be hard to code depending on how you went about it. Some of its already done you just need to tweak here and there. Its just a basic idea anyways. Planets are cool but galaxies would make things awesome lol.

How is that a bad thing?
As it stands now planets can be made and modified at will every week, soon there will be more planets then players. Why is destroying/shrinking them wrong?

To build up a Double planet u need 1 : 5 Income planets , 5 Attack planets , they most be all in a almost equal size, example if some are tiny the rest most be max above average, lets say a max diference between all sizes of 1+ and -less...
This will not affect anyone in a wrong way cause.. how u guys thinks example again LORE will give some of his planets to build up some new doubles.. this will hurt him a lot, to give away some he had for just having new doubles.. in long time term this will allow him to grow more , but... will it be so easy to give away that much planets ??? mmm i dont think so.
If u have a double planet it means u wont be able to buil up new ones cause u will need 10 open slots or 10 planets... so to make it happen a new addition... u hide your planet into Merlins and it do not gives u anything so it doesnt count as a planet, and u get nothing from it while its hidin, so u can get another planet and u get a new double planet... but to avoid any possible cheat with this is, that if by the time your double planet that is merlined comes out u still have 10 planets cause u were too lazy and didnt build up the new one then U LOSE THE DOUBLE PLANET.
This might close the gap might not.
The cost will be in naq + uu, lets say Your income of a day + your total UP of a day! but the real cost as its in Quantum to buy the 3 days ppt, no mather if u get max realm, the cost is the same ! I think this will cost a lot to big guys, also if example again Lore sends away his planets and a new player sends his MS to open space, there is a big chance the new dude gets it, and lets says Lore planet defenses are 100B and his Up planet is 50k , for a new player this will be a really good thing!
This have another cost.... the merlin, who ever wants to get his new dual planets will have toget merlins... he he he.. and the delay between making new duals is also too big, remember it will need 10 days to get 10 planets to build a new dual! The last cost and maybe the biggest is that, giving away that much planets will delay their growth... a lot... so... this might not be so bad at all dont u think guys ?

Ahhhh to make it lot more harder.... when a planet becomes dual... it loses it all.. def, and stats.. becomes tiny one, Up +1 Attack +1...

There is only one problem to solve... mmmm this have a big problem i think... big players might just wait till others start building up this planets and just take them.... any idea for this ?????
