We give my Nieces Chocolate, Jelly Beans, and Peeps. And we used to have a Easter Egg Hunt when they were younger.

Went to church. Got myself back into the habit of attending every Sunday.. kinda was awol there for like over a year.
Now? Not much else.. aside from having a friend over tomorrow and Tuesday. :)

Really, I agree with Nuto.. every day is special, Easter's hardly any different. :|
Except that Easter's eggs are quite yummy, when you have bought and been given as many as I have. :D

Come to think of it most religious holidays go the way of the above, im not a very religious person. Guess im missing the point with my shennanigans :(

well i might as well say how mine went

my mom is over the phone telling my brother that im sick and not feeling well, meanwhile i have a small stuffy nose and didnt sleep well so i had to catch up a couple hours this afternoon.

i used a low and calm voice (almost a whisper, actually) to try to tell my mom that im not exactly ill and just that i needed a bit of sleep. next time my mom hangs up the phone and starts yelling that i told her off.
i go to my step dad and say "what the hell..." and she starts telling me off.

god damn parents. My mom took the opportunity to throw in my face what my step dad has said about me and my brothers too.

I woke up.
Mum came into the room and presented myself and the deity with two chocolate easter bunnies that I had bought MYSELF. She thinks she's hilarious, and we all laugh.

We get up and within a couple of hours we eat some home made Lasagna that she has cooked. Followed by some home made tiramisu. All very good.

We wait several hours, and then have dinner of roast pork, veggies and prawns. Followed by my all time favourite, chocolate mousse.

There is nothing at all religious about this day for us. Seems to be just a case of habit. I like it this way. It gives us an excuse to eat far too much chocolate and it gives us some "family time".

Can you please take your spam elsewhere. If I wanted the thread to be spammed up, I'd have posted it in the Spam Section.

Can't we even have one thread for people to talk about something happy? I'm putting this back in General, if you don't like the thread, post in one of the many, many others out there.

Smoosh, your a smart guy, you should know better. Easter may be regarded as something happy for many people and yet it has nothing to do with StarGateWars. If you make exceptions for some topics and some people, then please just change the description of SGW General to something along the lines of "all general ingame discussion and some random stuff the mostly christian mod staff would like to see here".

If you're trying to make the forums a better place, then you should start by treating people equally.

FSMism is also something happy and yet it was not allowed in SGW General even though the topic was actually ingame related as I was asking all pastafarians to unite in game...

Smells like discrimination to me... again...

Yet again, can someone please remove all my spam and maybe give the offenders a warning for trying to cause trouble where there would otherwise be none.

A) I'm in NO WAY religious, and this thread has nothing to do with any gods, or religion.

I think you will find that regardless of anyone's faith, they would still be buying their children eggs on easter, not because its a religious day, but because consumerism has taught us that that is what we should be doing.

This thread shouldn't need an explanation, its a pretty simple concept people. Tell us how YOU, in your part of the world celebrate it.

If you have a problem with it, then just don't post in it. Simple as that. There is NOTHING offensive about having an adult discussion about how we all pass the time on public holidays.

Find something better to do with your bitterness and anger. It is not appreciated here.
