i keep getting error 404 not found :s is that a space between login and plain ? the blackberry wont allow me to use a space in a url :s

It's an underscore character (_).

homer -chat now also on community section of gate.

for mobile login yes it is http://www.stargatewars.com/login_plain.php and is linked on the top set of navs with german game, player guide, etc. This is also where i will eventually add a 'scaled down text only' version of the game, just for mobiles.

as for races being links on the main gate - they are as much that as placeholders for when i need more ... will leave as is for now, but in future may swap races out with a 'all races' link, and 3 other new ones

for login horizontal vs. vertical - it is highly likely if horizontal, it will not fit in the gate then it linebreaks where needed, so that its hard to tell which field is for which detail... so it stays vertical ... sorry.

and the code - yes, i like that part too. pretty cool how the content goes to the middle of an image

and as for scrolling down - depends on your screen size. also - when there are less 'current happenings' that part will not be there, making the gate higher...fortunately, or not, right now there are 2 big news items -the new chaos just went live less than 12hours ago, and a new friend of stargate at sgancientwars.com
in al, i tried for a size that would fit most broswer/computer sizes, but would also look ok on bigger ones...

as for the page, it would look nicer if that whole text in the below spoiler was somehow shorter, and that the extra stuff was linked to instead...

also, the two new happenings are a bit difficult to read due to the underline, maybe those could be in the format "descriptive text - link"?

having the gate on the top would also be nice...
also, those links above the "new happenings" area(FREE TO PLAY!! || Game Help and Players Guide || REGISTER! || Spiele StarGateWars auch auf Deutsch || Game Description || plain login form), are they needed there? arent most of those available from the gate?

couldnt the 4 chevrons marked with "register as ______" be replaced with one single chevron marked "register"?
then the 3 remaining ones could be used for "plain login form", "forum", and something else?

Mobile login looks good (login_plain.php) but i still cant login because my phones browser cannot determine referrer or something. grrr

Looks great, but 4 buttons shouldn't be wasted for registering -
My suggestion would be that the 4 should be replaced with these:
1. Register
2. Ascended
3. Quantum
4. Chaos

that sounds reasonable, and with this, the top right chevron would be empty, and that could be filled with forum

so in other words, the chevrons (going clock-wise), starting at the equivalent of 12, would be:

1. the logo
2. chaos
3. ascended
4. quantum
5. community sites
6. friends of stargatewars
7. forum
8. register
9. main login

i love the new look of the main menu of sgw

Wish the plain log in had ascended on it as well, I still have to suffer the long wait time going through the main page to reach ascended on my phone

I love the idea of a basic versions for phones.

I agree no fast way to get to the other servers from the home page now. On the previous home page right clicking and opening ascended in a new tab was fast an easy but not few clicks.
