nobodyhere wrote:why do we keep coming back to FUALL and Janus?
Those two groups are the only two currently on the server that have the power to affect massive change. Putting egos aside, everyone else outside of those two super alliances is, humbly, inconsequential to the heartbeat of what goes on long term. A server-wide war that involved everyone outside of Janus and FUALL would certainly receive traffic in the GC but go relatively unnoticed by the two big groups.

squall massed me a total of 3 times and peed me off so much that i bought (with AK's help) rank 1 anti covert just for him.
because squall waged war so much, brother crits once proud and powerful account looked like a typhoon had gone threw it and took up permanent residence in the account lol.
If I had an account powerful enough I would do the same, In this order
1) Every1 in TDL
2) EnterTheLion
3) Law7441
4) Every1 in Delta except Vegito or Anarchy_
5) The Rest Of Pages 1-3
6) Every Educator
I would probably mass Svarun about 5 times.
I estimate I would need an account the size of KGC's to pull that off properly, and it would most likely be dead afterwards, but damn would it be fun.
Good for him.

you dont need the most powerful account, hell you dont even need an account worthy of page 5 let alone page 1, an account of any power at all in the hands of a skilled war monger can keep a whole alliance on their toes...
just ask LoT, LoD and AK

well you should play main and then you can feel like you've accomplished something by building your own account and then massing said people... rather than everyone resetting so that you can all catch up...

I'll drop in and just say that you don't need NAPs to prevent war, you just need to drop your ego enough to understand that other people can hit your account for trifle amounts of naquadah. If people stopped taking "farming" so seriously that they would mass the offenders alliance over one hit and saved wars for real reasons, then there would be no need for such things. As it stands people in large alliances it would seem use NAPs as the platinum defense against anything done against their account, Threatening all those with smaller accounts, and agreeing not to tussle with equals.

so in essence he is correct
i would disagree...
PPT means your 100% safe from ALL forms of attack by anyone, so long as you have MT'S.
NAP is a gentleman's agreement between 2 parties, that doesn't mean your safe from any attack by anyone else or 1 party deciding its in their best interest to tear up the nap and attack the other without ANY warning...
so my question to barbs is again...eh, how do you work that out??

Because both keep you safe, certainly using the 2 empire examples that OP, Madtown gave. These 2 empire are so big that there is no one else left to mount a challenge. TJP vs X or FUALL vs X ... the losers would always be X
Also a nap is a ppt because both run out eventually
