I wasn't banned, no, but I've seen more than enough of my friends and alliancemates banned to feel as though this is an issue which needs to be commented on.

No and No

I posted this after reading that yet another player was autobanned. I'd rather get this issue into the open
before i get autobanned for no reason, which sadly is a possibility atm, just like it is for everyone

Yup, the script i can live with, it's the lack of a timely response that sucks...

agreed.

I will note, that basically he said that admin will do as he's been doing...not actually change anything. Anyways, i didn't expect more anyways. No solution that I see does anything but create more work. Sadly, nobody wants to do the work. (I know i don't).

the problem i see with this is if someone figures out how to get autobanned
they can then make the script ban them (for something non ilegal) and just sit back and wait for admin to unban them and create uu and naq for maybe a month if the admins are slow and they keep quiet about it..

but on the flip side they have absolutely no access until admin takes action, which could be ages.

So someone plans to go on vacation but doesnt want to lose resources, so they auto trigger the script knowing they are innocent and get a free few weeks of growth while admin looks into it...........

Yea, but if the admin fixs the autoban there should be no accidental bans. If there is a hole they get banned, the hole gets fixed and then they get unbanned... So once it gets fixed there shouldnt be any unreasonable bans... The plan is JUST incase!
