Even after he added more updates to be tested out in Beta he didn't resync the server, apparently it's a big job who knows (I am sure someone will post and know )

Anyways... last time Beta was synced was about a year and a half ago... May or June sometime... perhaps.

Well even easier than that as they take a weekly backup of the entire game if I am correct. So copy on server, simple copy and paste and possibly extract backup. As it is on the server will take 30 minutes max if they have a decent server. Have copied a 4gb file in 15 seconds before :p albeit a rather nice server with raid 9 or whatever but :)

Anyway, yes it would be nice to see some more updates. They have dealt with MGM (for now) and so should have more time for normal game updates. TBH I think they should focus a bit more on the main game rather than all these spin-offs as that is where the majority of the players are and well the 'Main' server lol. I don't know if thats just me though?

i DIS-agree...
If this WAS done, then if you wanted to spy someone and find out what they have, all you need to do is wait for the "backup", train all your UU into spies, and spy everyone on the DEV server. No one will know, and you'll know what people have on main. Would also mean that spy turns would never be used except for sabotage

Hes got a point, it was actually done on the last reset.

But easily overcome, copy the server, wait 2 weeks and then sync it to the 2 week old copy.

That would be a much better idea. Or monthly, with a month offset.

no real need to do it monthly, not unless he does updates monthly.

Except that it increases the in-validity of the data a little more then 2 weeks (which is the min time for an ascension)

2 weeks or a month is significant time, and similar. Except that, 2 weeks is about the minimum time needed for an ascension (so they if lined up properly, would be the same ascended level), where as a month, would allow for up to 2 ascensions, thus increasing the difference between the servers to avoid exploitation of the beta server

I doubt it, but never hurts to hope.
