Same crap we saw at the start of the server war, empires like to feel important & at the center of everything, so the try to force alliances to pick sides. Pick one and and fight the other for no reason, or dont pick one and put up with random massings, because if the Empires cant have stats then no one else should. Get over yourselves, most independent alliances and players ( Who still make up the majority of the server ) have no interest in your war or the politics/personal grudges behind it, and anyone with self respect will fight for themselves and their friends, not for your empires
@ Robe, the reason not many join you dispite your recently reaquired high ideals, is because at the height of it's power TLE became just as bad as the CoP it was founded to destroy. Between the CoP-v-CIA war and the CoP-v-TTF war, TLE bullied many of it's former allies, and now asks for their help again.
@ JT, anyone who joins your side out of fear of being on the losing side is WEAK, and your welcome to them.

Ignore the empires, their threats and propaganda, play the game the way you want to play it, fight who you want, when you want, for fun, not because someone else tells you too

Let me get this straight.
You champion and cheerlead a clearly immoral practice by side A agains randoms B.
You proceede to ridicule & condemn a 3rd side C for "allowing it to happen" - hence showing less "moral fiber" than the people commiting the immoral act in question.
Were you deprived of oxygen at birth for a second too long lol?
Do you realise such a practice and such "justification" for it in RL would brake more conventions of international and war law than you have years? (6-7 atleast, I`m sure, ziiing
).
To everyone with a hint of common sense this situation will affirm the exact opposite of your claims lol.

Umm dude, you are free to post whenever and however you want..but your point of view here doesnt really fit the theme. And in case you havent noticed, DDE is the best thang going on SGW right now, that is undenyable

I can see the logic.
Robe formed the HR to defend the little people, the ones who get massed for one naq hit. Basically anyone NOT in a large empire.
This cause, based entirely on helping the afore mentioned weaker parties has now led to more people then before being targeted by a larger opponent. So the initial cause has inadvertantly created a bigger problem then the one it was fighting.
The server either rallies around Robe in the resistance, or Robes intentions are shown to be less valiant than they are and whats a resistance without support?
Of course it could just as easily rally new opponents to rise against the DDE It depends how HR play it......

So basically the logic goes like this...
US and Russa start a war. Everybody else stays neutral. Theres a stalemate.
US starts sinking international shipping on the worlds most congested shipping lines "cos Russia won`t give up".
So people that got their ships sunk should blame Russia?
Makes perfect sense.
Not.
Just leave people out of this out of it. This is just an outburst of frustration at the inability to win on your part.

I didnt say that was my take on the matter, just that i could see the logic. We all know this is just an extention of the server war. And i dont think your analogy fits the circumstance, nor will any real world conflict ever match a GW's one in terms of similarities.
Fact is, Robe made a proclomation of defending the server from these 1 hit massing policies. Its the Resistance thats shone a spotlight on innocent players of the game, as commendable as it is to defend these people the effect has been for Q to test the HR's resolve when it comes to that noble idea of protecting the server.
If a treaty was written up by FUALL that in return for a full removal of the 1 hit massing policy the entire HR was to surrender, would these noble few accept it?

2 things. First, you say "you [i.e. me] champion and cheerlead a .. practice..". I would like to see what you perceived as such? Because from what I know, I have not advocated random massing as a means to an end, rather the end -i.e. of TTF/HR/TJP- as a means to rarify the random massing.
Second, you describe a "clearly immoral practice by side A agains[sic!] randoms B." By choosing the word 'immoral' you imply the existence of some sort of morality. I will cede that there exists a traditional morality within SGW, and that 'random massing' can under certain circumstances be seen as opposing said morality. However, SGW's morality is an opaque one, and while it would have the effect of restricting various styles of gameplay to seek to define it, that might not be a bad idea altogether. However, it is an entirely different debate, and this is hardly the ambiance to have such a debate in.
Ad 2: Yes.
Having ceded the existence of a traditional morality within SGW (1), it follows from the premise (2) that random massing is immoral and the premise (3) that is your moral obligation to do what you can to preserve morality, and the assumption (4) that is within the power of TTF/HR/TJP/etc to surrender and rarify the random massings, that TTF/HR/TJP/etc should surrender because "it is the moral thing to do".

I would have to inquire with my parents, although it is worth mentioning that only in the presence of (other) idiots such comments are uttered to me.
