I did attach a note, Firefox tried to auto-fill it when I set a broker a few minutes ago. Then I remembered having to resend the brokers after an internet snafu, hence why DE did not get the initial message, and the backup pm was deleted upon ascension (a flaw in the game, imo messages are extremely important for obvious reasons).

Would like to say thanks to everyone not involved who posted, generally all very helpful.

ahh semantics, nobodys fault on either side then. BLAME THE GAME!! ALL JASONS FAULT!!
