If they would have been annihilated in SA, then yes.. it's a good thing. Sort of like a mercy-killing.

Still, the few nations I disagree with going to SA are France, Italy, Portugal (if at all), and Slovenia.
Just 4 out of that few.. no biggie, right?

And I was thinking supporting Netherlands as a "second" supported team.
But, now, it looks like I will root for Spain as a "second" supported team now. :-D

Go France and go Spain (on a smaller extent)! 8)

it was the new fifa seeding system that was brought in this year to help the bigger countries and make it harder for smaller countries to go through

I always liked to support different teams -hierarchically- incase stuff happend...(hierarchy is kept when teams go against each others)

#1 is France for me...but I was wondering between Spain and NL who I would support as #2, and who as #3..given they both are great teams, any little reason could determine which would become my #2 rooted-for team. *megagrin*

so you'll decided by the actions of a person from that country?

:-k i'd rather not have gotten into the world cup and have my country keep its dignity and pride rather than lose it for a competition they'll lose

Nah, but I tend to be slighty annoyed by this issue to keep hearing it on tv, on internet, on newspapers everywhere...

Instead of blaming Henry with every "nickname" possible, people should try instead to think about the problem behind this. Lack of video help in decidings.

Stop being a glorey seeker!

If your going to support a second team, be it someone who obviously wont walk into the quarter finals.

Like that year senegal did dead well!

I Always liked croation, but thats unlikely now.

France
Netherlands
Spain
Brazil
*inserts random skilled team such as Cameroun, Ivory Coast, Nigeria, Portugal, Japan...*
and...Slovenia (for their first world cup)

You call that glory seeking?
It's not really glory seeking...it's quality football seeking! ;)

I don't really look for big names, otherwise, Argentina & Italy would be on my list. They aren't.

You can watch quality football without supporting the team!

I bet my mortgage that you are either a Man united or Barcelona "fan".
