Many european far right parties hate EU (Front National in France is anti EU as well and wants withdrawing and back to former currency) as it's against nationalism ideal and all glory to country and self admiring and all. Same stuff that led to WW1&2, those guys *never* learn from past mistakes.



It's because we don't take it the way you want, we don't agree with your and Avenger's stance regarding so called poetic justice and strong will.

I recall my Wednesday Debate from ages ago was a good demonstration of how much easier it is to "prove" a point when one is willing to make strategic jumps in logic.

Kit, you must understand that if someone is doing this and they do not realise it after it has been pointed out, then they may not be capable of considering the point you are actually trying to make. If, however, they do realise it, then they may simply not want to consider your idea, seeing as they are resorting to such means to avoid doing so.

you fail to consider 1 thing mate, if the EU is/was such a great thing, then no lies, intimidation, treachery or deceit would be needed to force us in, and we would have had an open and fair debate with a referendum from the 70's.

i have asked you to give me that 1 bit of proof that makes the EU this almighty and worthwhile organisation and i'm still waiting. i have put aside my preconceived opinions about the EU so i can look at your evidence with a fair and open mind, and you cant even do that much.

there's not 1 thing you or Bravds have shown me that says only the EU can do that, no other country can thereby justifying its existence...

and if you think you have, then think again because i cant see it!

Well, it's true.. UK should just get out of the EU and go join NAFTA, kickstart the Commonwealth, or something along those lines.

Why'd you think Ireland's consenting to the Constitution was of such utmost importance that we'd cheat our electorate into voting in favour? Not because we Europe love Ireland. Because Ireland lies beyond the UK. Excellent strategic value if we're to exact trade tariffs for crossing our nautical territory, should the UK step up and out. Iceland to the northwest, Norway and Svalbard to the north, the Portuguese Azores to the southwest, Ireland dead west, and the continent to the east and south. You're encircled. Surrender.

You do know that it's not literally people who lead countries (there's elections and majority wins etc)? Then you should know that people opinions doesn't have to do literally with leaders' opinion. Afterall, aren't we not anymore in democracies? And in seriousness, countries don't think a whole as one, and anyway people are entitled to their opinion. And you got my opinion on the matter. And certainly some people here and there. If I was to be anti EU with a bunch of peers, it wouldn't mean everyone would be. D'oh.

Oh & btw dont you know anything about history, the French certainly arent allies of the UK, you lot have either been our enemies or we've had to carry you through conflicts as you cant hack it. Thats not an ally thats a liability!

You see, the difference about me the all evil who is all bad if UK left EU is that the evil me doesn't consider UK as enemies or something like that as of now for whole last century. However, you seem to be the one acting all self admirating ("we've had to carry you through conflicts as you cant hack it") and oh soo conveniently forget the alliance in WW1 happend prior to the war (but well, I'm meant to be very bad at history, so you didn't expect me to mention that didn't you? Ah!). I don't know anything about history, that's why I'm in second year of history in university. Anyway, you seem to be the one who doesn't, because you still think about Louis XIV's Augsbourg league war , Louis XV's Seven years war or Napoleon's campaigns, it's outdated a bit.

Similar such goes for Germany, Spain, Italy and most of the core countries of the EU, so much for shared values.

Yes I proudly back my words. Antagonism is usually backed by nationalism. "I'm greater than you". When it's multiplied, it become mutual antagonism, and leads to a war. Seeing the other as a threat. It's quite simple. Bunch of crap as you call it is infact rationality.

It's easy to consider something not a worthy argument because infact nothing in this world could make you appreciate EU due to your view towards it. I've said it already, capitalism explained positively to a far leftist by whoever supports capitalism being theorician, random average joe or a famous professor in a great university.
What you look for is direct benefit. UK as much as France help other countries. Sure, you will not see new buildings rising thanks to EU, because UK can afford that by themselves. Lone wolfism to the best, you represent.

As for threats towards UK to join EU, go to a court and see what happens! If you think you are THAT much in the right. And see what will happen. Whether you have that much proves..

hmmm, that's VERY strange, i thought i had acknowledged that you agreed (hence why i've directed my resent replies only at pops and Bravds) already

as for Jones, i couldn't careless if he is king of the clown people on clown planet in clown galaxy in clown universe!

if the man has the evidence and shows it, gives his sources and makes it easy for me to research for myself, and his many sources are amongst the police, army, intelligence, many politicians and some sources from inside the elites camp, then who are we to mock him?

And Pops, your forgetting that while we have worked with the french, almost all of the time its been out of conveinence rather that we wish to stand side by side with you. We've used the french, we havent ever truely allied with you & I bet we never will. Same goes again for the others, Britian doesnt ally easy, hell we dont even consider ourselves allies with the US (its just handy at the moment)
