I don't want to see it because I'm too scared I'll enjoy it. It's a film I've greatly enjoyed mocking and belittling without actually knowing anything about.

For once i can say I fully agree with you! It runs in 3D at some cinema at the mall but i will go and watch something else, maybe Alice in Wanderland or something (i'll let my fiancee choose).

what will you do if she chooses avatar?

She makes fun of it more than me...Tbh i might go and take GG's advice to fart in the middle of the action and watch the credits roll...

ok, reasonable enough... but just for the theory, what would you have done in such situation? (we cant think of what we would have done in such situation... and that makes us curious...)

If you've seen Pocahontas.. you know the story, but still I enjoyed Avatar. The characters were good, effects amazing ofc, and even if it is a straight copy of Pocahontas.. I still liked the story. A worthy blu ray purchase, except when I had to buy blu/ray & dvd.

Just read this entire thread, and thankfully I am not alone in placing my judgement of this film as one of the cheesiest of all time.

Not really sure what all the fuss is about. It's three hours of over hyped garbage. I'm not miserable before you start questioning my personality and/or sanity. It's just had so much money spent on creating it, it's echoed through every single media stream possible in the build up to it's release to ensure that it makes it onto your mental canvas in order for James Cameron to recoup his millions of dollars outlay.

Titanic was as equally painful.
