*Kicks Cleops/Avenger* Bahamut was good, but that decisive?... LOL...

What ruins the game? I am giving no 'importancy ranking', since it all combines to the catastrophe....

- Introduction of planets
- Granted, I've spent some $$$ myself... tbh, more then I thought  But yes, the insane amounts you can get from spending $$$. It's just plain nuts
- Change of attitudes on the forums. 2005/2006 was plain fun, joking around, good roleplaying and although it wasn't always good behaviour *guards himself against Tok'ra* it wasn't the sillyness, general flaming and boring as it is those days.
-Resources being free available. If you get what I mean. As others mentioned before, massing has become too easy.
- Too much 'big' alliances. Start 2006, you had Omega, EPA, Dirty Dozen, Alpha (am I forgetting one?) in the GA (later DDE got invited to this too), while on the other side you had Crystal Force. They were powerfull, but at least the numbers of players in the bigger 'empires' (only CF/CFE and Omega/Alpha (Omegan Empire/OE) could be called that way) was mindable. Now...
Well... you've got the whole OE and DDE, you've got the (former) TJP, you've got Nemesis... and a heck lot of other 'empires'. And all start to use the '1 hit-massing'-policy. In 2006, only OE used the 1-hit massing policy (if I recall OK), and that was more out of roleplay (lot of SL's). Now, more then half of the active server uses this policy on people who attack for naq, even if it was just a small player who isn't interested in the politics of the game.
So yeah - right :/
- Ascension is/was totally boring. When (I believe Tekki as one of the first who achieved it) descending people within the top-300 (when there were far less ascended players then now), it become problematic for strategies. When Jason decided to not read requests to adjust the ascended/main links, it just became worse. Why? People can go on vac on ascended if they are too weak, so becoming undescendable. However, they still keep half of the main bonuses. And at some point, during the CoP vs. ... (? what was the name again) war, over half of the ascended server was on vac mode. Nuts, I tell you!
- Too few new players join. If they don't get scared away by the lack of help (both lack of guides to explain the game as well as too few players who ask an established player for help), they get scared away because they cannot find an active alliance that would accept them (there are too few), by the power gap or by the random massers.

Main server has never reset. While it would be nice.. just to see the faces of major cash spenders.. it will never happen.

I THINK the reset you may mean, was the semi-reset of the ascended server.

Before, getting level 100 on ANY attribute was an accomplishment. Now, 1000 is that accomplishment really.

There was an interesting suggestion mentioned before. About setting all stats to 10% what they are now. You have 100m miners, guess what, you now have 10m. Got an income of 30b/turn, it's now 3. Your 1T defense, becomes 100B.

I personally like the idea. As it would almost bring us back to were the game was about 4 years ago. Where things took co-ordination and effort and planning. Whereas now, you just go buy 10k turns off the market, get yourself a 2T attack, and mass entire empires by yourself.

I mostly agree.
Excepted for ascended. Ascended was one hell of an aweful server back in time. You were able to raid trained and untrained planets, so people couldn't build up, and would get descended easily. Utter domination from one group with few strong people on other side, made from the strongest main accounts from outside CoPs, rest being on the ground no matter how good they were. Then, it reversed to a criticizable as well but still better server, what we have nowadays. I'm agreeing it lacks a bit of interest, as it doesn't require much activity (excepted to prevent descension). But well, i might play it less than before ascended update. But when I do play it now, it's not under a threat, but for fun. And I tend to farm from once every few days to several times a day. The day the update came in ascended, the fun started for me. :)

ethics has and never will be a part of MMORPG.

what's killed the game seriously?!

1, as MANY have been pointing out for 3+ years, resources are to readily available.

2, without doubt the worst update EVER...raiding.

3, second worst update, planets.

4, people whining, winging, moaning, **Filtered**, crying, people sending nasty and downright evil PM's and all round complaining just because they lost a few stats.

5, the switch from "Stargate Wars" to "anybody can be whatever the hell they like wars".

i could go and on but there is very little point since all this has been discussed to death already.

I would like to add real money trades to this. Otherwise I fully agree with these statements.

The impact of the forum on the game is negligible. We've had worse administrations and worse moderators when the game was going through better times; I'm not sure you can attribute a decline in the quality of the game to poor moderation or sub-par forum conduct.
