Actually Mutually Assured Destruction policy means they would annihilate themselves to make sure the enemy was taken out, in this case it's just an aggressive defensive policy, DDE do not take themselves out in the process of the massing, just the enemies

Actually I think a MAD situation means that there are enough weapons (or whatever, in this case a 1 hit mass policy) to ensure both sides are destroyed. Nothing to do with one side destroying itself, that doesn't really even make sense to me...

MAD means you would both wipe each other out. It doesnt exist in this age. There is no wipeing out, Only massing and return massing.
