no i'm saying that if islam had been in the mainstream west for as long as christanity the jokes would be flowing

you have to realise that compared to the majority of the world the west is twisted

not saying the rest of the world isn't but it's a different kind of twisted

So then why are jokes about Christians more accepted then jokes about Men/Women or Race? Which are sorta more accepted then jokes about other religions? Considering that Race and Gender has been around longer then Christianity.

Because the weakest party always complains the loudest, and in this overfeminised Western civilisation, we abide by the loudest wail. It evokes our maternal feelings.



Alternative answer:

Sarevok, women will withhold sex from you if you joke about them. Who would want that? So, the only ones who can successfully joke about women are gay people, and they don't have the source material. And too much dignity to joke about them.
Blacks will shoot you if you joke about them. (Or bludgeon you, just ask Eugene.) Guilt has caused public opinion to be against these jokes, and death is a good motivator.
Christians will .. well .. umm .. damn you to hell, perhaps? Now there's a shocker.
Muslims will decapitate you and end your family line in honour killings. Painful. Pain is a good motivator.

I daresay if I had to pick a subject for jokes and had to choose between women, blacks, christians or muslims, I'd pick the christians too.

My question wasn't *directly* aimed at you (meaning= this answer is your stance, which I don't consider as), but at what you concluded. Because that seemed more like a conclusion having an humorous meaning towards people who might practice this exclusion of jokes to the least "dangerous". (the controversial image posted earlier would contradict with this)
