I was merely making a suggestion to try to add some enjoyment to his playing experience in line with some of the things taddpole has posted:

Taddpole wrote:DOO & DDE were great about it as well, they made him feel like he was a major player in the wars with out massing him, telling him he did a great job and all. Again a small thing made him happy.
Understand his part in the wars was hitting someone one time (one 15 turn attack) and going crazy because he thought he just massed someone. If Rek and Destruction1 remember this they will tell you what I'm saying is true.

My apologies if I have somehow offended you rocket or taddpole. I wish him nothing but good ;)

Not at all, the whole point to this is for him to have fun in game and to see that people are not all bad. Understand he was taken out of his home because he was not being taken care of to start with. He has been in my home now for 3 years and is doing great. He can talk now, he could not when I first got him. He will look family members in the eye, he would not do this before at all. He laughs now. But he still has a deep fear of people he does not know.

It took insaneone over a year to get him to talk to her, now I'm able to get him to rreply to messages with some pushing from me. The goal is to have him playing and interacting with the community on his own with out me pushing at him to do it. Then maybe he will have a fun war or two and enjoy that part of the game. I just don't see it right now is all. In time , we will just have to wait and see what happens.

I will copy the link from the thread to our mainforum, so we can reach more people. The choice though I cannot make for others.

I have a friend who is autistic.

I will set to peace as well but as my colleague said - it is up to each member within nemesis if they want to follow suit :D

Aye -social interaction will do him the world of good - this peace and all the people setting him to peace will also help him in building his confidence i feel - it may be a war game but still we all prosper in peace as well. More to the game than just going around massing :P

Good luck with this though taddpole (check your pm's) :-D

I replied to your PM SuperSaiyan and thanks.

I know its a long shot trying to get anyone to help here but it is worth a try if it means he can play the game with out getting massed and farmed. Thats why I'm asking the major empires and alliances for help and understanding with this. Even if they don't reply and just post a do not touch on the alliance forums that would be great. I guess I expect to much some times but I like to think there are some good people out there with a heart :D

setting peace now
good luck and be safe

So very true, he just got home from school, so it is lunch time. After that I'm sure he will be checking his account and I had sent Insaneone a message about her or Zippy helping him ascend. We got him to let Zippy help him last time so that was one more person he learned to trust. After he ascends I will get him to work on the list of people he will need to set peace back with. I will also try and get him to send out a few messages to those that have sent him messages. There were a few this morning when he checked his account but he needed to get off to school.

Taddpole wrote:Hello Everyone,
I'm coming before the Community at this time to ask something of all the big major alliances and empires. My foster son Mosiah has been playing this game for around two years now. He is 15 and has Autism.

Hey mate, been a while.

I've known taddpole for a long time in this game and he's one of the most genuine people I know around here. Nice thing to see what you are doing for your foster Son.

I'm not sure if I've spoken with him before? The name Mosiah doesn't sound familiar, but i'm pretty sure i've spoken with your son when I used to play.

Anyway looks like the community is coming together to help out which is a rare thing these days.

Reading this almost made me think of logging in and passing over all my spare resources that i have laying around my account and even making him my only officer and letting my account sit there..... but well I haven't logged in for over 2 months and not sure if i'd want to tempt fate. :S

Would be interesting to know how many peace settings he has. i'm sure he's counting the number of messages he's getting. :D

Good luck.

If only you all could see this kid right now, he is off the wall because of all the new friends he has :D I'm trying to get him ready for school but he always checks his account before school. Good thing he only has half a day today lol this will be the topic of his for the next few days now

PS. femme, I had him reply to you real fast so you should have a message from him. He liked the hug lol.

setting to peace... my 9 year old is borderline autistic spectrum, he too has a fasination with numbers, and loves watching me play ( although he best likes watching me raid/mass and counting up the damage lol ) JJ is luckily not noticably autistic to any degree, most people just see a kid that has trouble concentrating in class(except during maths and ICT), and difficulties fitting in sociably, and who happens to be scarily intelligent (a full year ahead of the rest of his class, which is a mix of his age group and the year above!)

Most people tend not to understand the difficulties involved, these kids are on an emotional rollercoaster, and we as parents, get dragged along for the ride.

Good luck with your mission
