You would have to be an idiot though to know that wouldn't be bad PR.

Judging from how he handled the company leading up to the incident and his lack public speaking skills he probably is, still though.

Kinda reminds me of a british George Bush.

@ Mollari

It's not an Idiotic expectation that he not go on vacation while the company (for which he is in charge) is directly responsible for one ofthe worst natural disasters in our history.

I know your probably po'ed that your pension fund is taking a hit on this. But if you want secuity with your money; don't invest any amount your not prepared to loose.

I never said he wasn't a fool, or that it was anything more than bad PR...just said that slandering someone for taking a break is absurd.

Anyone else watch Panorama last night ?

BP own the rights to drill on the site. BP is 40% US owned, less than 40% UK owned and has shareholders around the world, THE US OWN THE MAJORITY OF THE SHARES IN THIS MULTINATIONAL COMPANY

Transocean own and operate the rig for BP. THE MAJORITY OF TRANSOCEAN SHARES ARE ALSO US OWNED

The blowout protector, the part that BP suspect failed and caused the accident is MADE IN THE US BY A US OWNED COMPANY and purchased by Transocean

The cement job to prevent gas leaking which some workers claim was the fault WAS DONE BY ANOTHER US OWNED SUBCONTRACTOR

The design of the rig and components suspected of failing WERE APPROVED BY THE US GOVERNMENT

The rights the to start deep water drilling even though it was risky unknown territory WERE APPROVED AND PROMOTED BY THE OBAMA ADMINISTRATION because of the tax revenue and cheap oil it could produce.

Who is the biggest Oil user and biggest polluting country in the world, YES THAT WOULD BE THE USA

BP do have a poor safety record, as do many other multinationals, basically because compensation payments and fines are usually tiny in comparison to the profits they can make cutting corners but no one complains about this so long as they make money, only when accidents like this happen do people look for scapegoats.

What will the result be, the US government public attacks on BP will probably result in a takeover of BP by another oil giant when the share price bottoms out later this year ( after the leak has been stopped ), they will still trade under new ownership, the environmental impact will be massive and cleanup underfunded, the poor will still lose the most and end up paying more for petrol while some very rich people get even richer.

Anyone in the US dumb enough to blame people of the UK can kiss my cutie bootie. The UK is not just the best friend the US has, we are the only friend the US have. Burn bridges for short term political face saving it stupid and they will regret it in the long term.

No one is blaming you brits mezz. Where you get that idea.... Also BP is 40% british owned, 39% american

http://www.bp.com/extendedsectiongeneri ... Id=7019612

but that doesnt really matter.

Unless mi5 were somehow the masterminds behind the expolsion... but you would have to ask KMA about that.

i'm only upto part 2 so far but what he says in part 1 about Obama turning down help from 13 country's is also said in the first article i posted in the above post.
but 2 is where he presents his evidence about it being a deliberate act of sabotage OR, at the very least, they knew it was going to happen and they allowed it to.
i'm currently searching for his sources.
