Just watched Gods of the Arena, some pretty good action stuff, too short for a decent background story, few nice if simplistic plots, overall not as good as Blood & Sand, and still not even in the same league as Rome.

Looks like the next season is called Spartacus : Vengeance.

Winner winner chicken dinner.

Although, the time from now until then sucks.

I read up on the main characters of this show to get to know the backstory on the people this show was based on and I gotta say... if they stick close to the stories behind these characters, this show will be truly epic.

[spoiler]I'm already anticipating this season will pertain to organizing the revolt and freeing of more slaves... most likely ending in the death of a main character.

The last season will most likely be about the downfall of the slave revolution.

I'll be shocked if it goes beyond that.[/spoiler]

I did a history paper on Spartacus, and his revolt back in high school and if it does stick to the way it is written in the history books..

It will be amazing.

Ok... I have watched afew episodes of this. (the first series that is)

did Romans actually live like this..? first episode was shocking!

did they do all those things to their slaves that they are shown doing? Why didn't any slave just assassin their master and run away?

I do not know if Romans were all like this, but more or less I wouldn't doubt it. Weren't the Greeks worse in regards to one and other? Eg: Mass orgies, guy on guy, etc? I cannot remember, my history is foggy at this time of night.

If you watch further on in the episodes, you will see that any slave that runs away is brought back and has things done very gruesome to them. Snip snip.

man rome was a pretty big place.. slaves couldn't run away or kill their masters?

ok In first episode.. the guy's part wouldn't go up.. so he gets a slave to do her work. and then they do IT in front of the slaves!!!!

uncool lol, im surprised slaves actually allowed all this to happen to them.. I wonder why the girl just didnt bite it off

I Liked both series good they made the gods of the sand while they recast and well it was nice they stuck with the orig guy as long as they could.

I have watched the first episiode of the new season and it's just as good as the others....it took me a short while to get my head around the new guy but it's looking good for the rest of the season...I have missed the swearing and blood and fighting

How? Tomorrow it comes out..

The first episode is online....it got put out last week to build a bit of hype for it's return
