i think a destroyable MS sounds kind of cool.
i dont think raiding to be put in also

Not necessarly an anti-anticovert, just a style of attack to kill AC and Attack units.

IMO its silly having things that can't be killed, that's when main sorta started its downward spiral. First it was just AC and Attack units. But then you could have miners whom were not able to be killed, and so snipers came into play. They have a nice safe spot to store extra UU, so that when they attack someone, they can rebuild without having anything destroyable themselves.

Could we tweak number 4?

Make it that atk and def work together, but when you attack, def is 25% of its power and added to atk, and when defending, 25% power of attack added to defence, and both take losses?

I sabbed someone for 4 days before I got bored and gave up :lol:

I think the destroyable mothership is a great idea but implement it with proper Mothership technology kinda like 5bil to get initial blueprint for a Mothership which acts as a command ship, then you can buy fighters to aid in attacks and the command ship can deploy shields for when a player gets attacked.

Additional technologies can be added to increase pilot training/energy management to increase the strength of fighters and effectiveness of shields.

The only thing I think should be done is make upgrades very expensive just to give it as something big to work for.

Additionally in place of fleets perhaps have special class fighters that are able to travel with an attacking fleet, or return to defend the home planet.

Just my thought on the mothership idea

Make the techs like those of Covert for main. So that the old players can get to like lvl 20, but the new ones can get to say lvl12 without to much difficulty.

Pre Patch notes:

UP: will be unchanged
attack fatigue: Removed
Defence Alert: effectiveness reduced (by around half ?)
Bank: cost to upgrade reduced (to around 50% or less ?)
Sabbing: Increase 5% destructions, 10 to phase out
Alliance: Removal of racial restrictions.

Future Updates (things to look forward to when I have more time)
Point based tech system:
Each point costs an increasing amount of naq. Points are applied to the techs.

Mother ships (origins style):
Ms are destructible, ms techs require you to spend naq and one of the stats of the ms to increase the others. Ms 50/50 would cost x naq per stat point moved from one attribute to the others.

Let me know what you guys think of these changes, and if anything needs to be adjusted.

I'm still unsure as to if removing attack fatigue is a good move. It means that a single person can run through multiple people (or entire alliances) without their attack getting weaker. I would say flip it. Remove defence fatigue, but make attack fatigue 50% as effective as it is now. Just to encourage multiple players to bring down an alliance.

Also, something people probably haven't though about, but will SURELY complain about once they realise. As you are massing someone, you are weakening them, BUT their defence is getting strong thanks to being more alert to the hostile actions. Also, once you try to AC, to effectively sab their weapons, ACing will not be as effective, since their defence would be on like full alert...

Regarding bank costs. Perhaps 25%? With a refund to people whom have bought it at current prices? I was going to say 10%, but with 25%, or even 50%, it's almost as good as having a high UP, since it costs Naq to do.

I like that points system idea. Perhaps make it 10x the cost of naq for a UP upgrade? Like if going from say 0UP to 1UP costs 100Naq, then make it 1000Naq. Or even more drastic and make it like 100x more. But each point improves the stat by 1% or something. Just some ideas for though Gary.

i think guys it would be best to give these new features a few weeks of testing to see whats good and whats not rather than trying to change things before we have even tried them 8)



@AdminGary, once an MS has been destroyed i think it would be good that all MS tech is reset to zero as well. MS tech should also be expensive, or maybe cost could be linked to army size?
