Its secret santa, its fun and worthwhile. If You get an enemy so what, send a gift as if it were a ally or friend.

If my guy was ETL i would give him a present. If it were anyone from OE or DDE i would still give them a present. Its still just a game and I like to think that if i were to meet the people i call in-game enemies, they'd be OK in RL and we'd be friends. Doesn't mean i can't be nice to them for once in a whole year. Or thrice...or as many times as i can.
