I have to agree mostly with Ashu.
1) People have different lives. Just found it funny when JT said I took it too seriously/cared too much coming from him.
2) People can spend how much they want on whatever they want, the magic of it being their own money. There are two ways to get ahead in this game, time or money, and you may exchange one for the other. Though you have to wonder would some who has a hobby in model building buy model kits or finished models?
3) Massing someone does not drive players away, however there is a line that you cross from being the Evil group to just being an Ass. In being an Ass, people see less point in playing the game, as their peaceful enjoyment of the game is constantly assaulted by your war enjoyment. Used to be if you hit you would be massed, then if you hit your alliance would be massed, now it's if you retake a planet, your alliance will be massed. You continue to complain about your opponents not being strong/rich/have enough stats, yet are napped with other groups who you think yourself are comparable to you? What this game needs is less superpowers and more alliances. When you have so many members in the same grouping with similar ideals and accounts, there is a time when it makes the game not fun anymore for someone who is always at the wrong end of your stick. That, be it a small part or a large part, is a part of the reason why so many have left.
