and I agree, I would just Vac mode. I've actually never yet allowed a ppt to run out naturally, I get soooo bored.

usually, I try to be ingame 3 hours before PPT is to run out...

in case the server crashes, Admin Jason requires 3 hours downtime before free PPT is offered...

but yea, I have certainly allowed PPT to run out naturally...

I should do it more often... and do housekeeping / errands more often, actually...

or I bank, chat, do alliance stuff, post, drop income back to nil,

go to bed, and let it run out while I sleep...


Nostra, as far as I know, the only PPTs that can be stacked are alliance PPTs on top of other PPTs where the total is less than 48 hours...

I've tried many ways... brb.

btw, i've bought naq on the black market 2 or 3 times, and the ppt that comes with it can be handy enough, (lets me pick the kids up from school ) but i still don't know if you did 2 purchases one after the other, would you get 2 hrs ppt, or just one, which then renews to another full hour? like with the full ppts?

there's this one guy, who trains about 500trill covert, fair enough he has covert level 38, and he then ppts about 10 times in a week, excluding alliance ppts, he's also Unk, so he's not currently ascending.
Im not gonna mention names though because that would be unfair.
i hope this doesn't speak to anyone in particular
but it does go to show that there are people out there who will use $$ to stay on constant ppt, for whatever reasons they might have.

I wouldnt be surprised if the supporter pakages simply stack to 48 hours too.
Seems to be a steady limit if you ask me.

That person you referring to ... if he ppts ten times a week ... then I would guess he is not on constant PPT right ? sounds more like a strategy to ppt when needed and safe gaurd that enormous covert he has there, not to mention the defence and strike he most liekly has.

I've practiced the two weeks PPTs thing on almost every ascension I did beyond Incarnate, and excepted when there's a gamewide PPT from Jason, I don't think it can last eternally...
But given this let's imagine:

Friday-Sunday PPT1 W1
Sunday-Tuesday PPT2 W1
Tuesday-Thursday PPT3 W2
Thursday-Saturday PPT4 W2
Saturday-Monday ascension PPT5
Monday-Wednesday PPT6 W3
Wednesday-Friday PPT7 W3
Friday-Saturday PPT8 Alliancewide (evening friday to morning saturday)
Saturday-Tuesday PPT9 Gamewide PPT W3 (has to last about three days)
Tuesday-Thursday PPT10 W4
Thursday-Saturday PPT11 W4
Saturday-Saturday PPT12 Alliancewide W4
Saturday-Monday ascension PPT13
Monday-Wednesday PPT14 W5
Wednesday-Friday PPT15 W5
Friday-Friday PPT16 Alliancewide W5
Unless I'm not aware of another way, that's the longest possible, but you will agree it is quite rare to have a gamewide PPT, even more to predict it with this schedule *and* this gamewide PPT to happen during weekend *and* last about three days.

I've missed a few PPTs in my day... but usually if it's gonna run out naturally,
it's because income has already been adjusted below 5 bil naq per turn.

i wouldn't have the patience, but admittedly, without them the AT would dry up fast enough

I have to agree with nostra there, sounds like a man constantly kickin butt and takin names and if he is not on ppt all the time with al those ppt's than he must drop ppt to help his m8's when there in need a true leader warrior that sounds like to me

On topic: Originally, eternal PPT was allowed in the game back in 2005. Brothercrit did this to perfection by being sent a good percentage of the units of his alliance (Shagadelic Warriors if anyone remembers them) and selling a portion of his naq generated for $$ to keep buying supporter bonuses and using the rest to fund his alliance's actions. Shortly thereafter, Jason put a limit on PPTs to twice in a week (also, interestingly enough he added a rule making accounts purely there for selling resources for $$ illegal...a rule that I presume still exists but is never enforced).

Anyway, I'm not too versed on if you can buy a supporter package after you buy your two market PPTs and if that would give you a third PPT. I imagine it wouldn't, otherwise the previous rule would have been made meaningless and resource accounts would stay on eternal PPT. So while you can stay on PPT for long periods of time by combining PPTs between different weeks, and using alliance PPTs to also extend the time, the only real way to do it would be with buying resources off the black market and with a minimum of $10 a purchase, that would be quite a price to pay costing $160 dollars a day or so and really isn't worth it. In fact, for that price you could buy about 300 trillion naq which is roughly 140 trillion more than what you'd get through the ingame black market and that extra 140 trill is most certainly enough to buy back most any defense someone would be trying to protect that day.

So yes, it's possible, but it's pointless.

i only mentioned 10 times because thats basically how i know cash was spent to extent normal ppt times. you're right nostra, this case is less about constant ppt, more about the ability to ppt whenever you want i think.

so putting it all together, im not sure about the limits of the black market, if there are any, i think we can quite safely assume that a 24/7 ppt is possible if the black market is used effectively with negative ppt times as well. as mathlord said hehe, its costly, and for the most of us pointless but possible.

i guess its a handy way to grab a short nap without the risk of waking up to a zero'd account

And being able to buy an instant ppt is known I may presume, as in the market and black market, but the details of the max amount of buying on the black market are not known.

It still raises an interresting discussion ...

No i cant say that i have tried that nostra but still what would be the point ?

Yu would be on ppt forever and since this is a war game warrin should be involved not stacking yur ppts like a grumpy old lady makin here puzzles and safegaurdin it beein affraid it would break.

whats sad in all of this is that they are people who are protecting this kind of players who are untouchable
the player in mention is untouchable for over 3 years
what i don't understand why others protect this kind of play
