IMO.... Plague should be used to keep growth down so others can catch up (that's called balance). Clearly the game has developed to a point where the plague mechanics need to be reviewed, what do you expect in a game that never resets. I don't think people are out to get anyone specific, but to restore balance, and certain people are being used as examples
The only way to restore a reasonable balance in this game is to put it back to the way it was before the houses so I can mass every huge defense out thier like the old days

Look am verry surpiced that the ppl whom always wanted to be rank and have been rank 1 in the past with stats that @ that time were verry hard to take down and they used the aliance ppts the repairs and the vac's to keep there precious rank 1/stats now r the ones cryin bout someone else his big stats if yu actually read the admin meet back yu wil see a lot of comments like "feri yu have allready won"
In my opinion thats pure jalouzy.
And if yu cant take it alone now shoud the game be changed cos yu cant take it alone ? dam most 100+ defs cant be taken by just one person. or high coverts act by just one person so lets BAN THAT ALL 2 !!
And there wil be or allready is 1 person whom can take it down questions is does he/she wanna do it ??
Do yu all write other game developers 2 if theres someone better or bigger than you in a other game ??

That's the thing, the plauge IS keeping growth down...How many people do you know beating it?
I haven't spent much time looking and i counted 3 people above plague...Not exactly an epademic if you ask me. If a few people want to invest their naq in a massive UP what's it to anyone else?
@ Couz - Yes it would be nice to be able to mass anyone by yourself but it's not practically possible for that to happen. I'm pretty sure most big defences that have been taken down have been a team effort. I'm not even at raid cap and only have a 40T def (which is ranked in the mid 20's) and i'm sure there are hundreds of players that wouldn't be able to just take it by themselves. Does that mean we should move plague down to 300mill?
The trade broker reports trade from Surtr to *Teesdale_ of 100,000,000 Naq for 33,000,000,000,000 Naq is complete.
Barbara! says: haha ok you can have a piece of my soul for 50bil naq

Personally I do not believe a player should be unmassable. At the same time I do not believe that snipers should be encouraged. If you want to mass or steal planets or some such thing, you have to put something on the line. Eg, u want a planet from someone, your attack should be atleast 10 percent of their defence before you can even get a look see. Because currently it encourages multis with nothing but fleets to snipe. You never get something for nothing. And that should be applied properly ingame.
SSG EnterTheLion wrote:Personally I do not believe a player should be unmassable.
what exactly is unmassable to you? extremely costly defense, but physically possible or something that cannot be touched at all due to game mechanics?
It's a fine balance..but if it takes more than the raid limit to bring a defence down..it's not feasible for gameplaying. Not because it's unfair and so on. If one can do it, someone IS going to do it. But what happens is that more and more will do the same...especially the bigger players, the very players capable of taking out such a big defence. But, there is a price to pay for a huge defence. Limits one's attacking options.
As for plague, I would perhaps increase the plague threshold, but at the same time make plagues worse. As for houses, I wonder who gave admin the brifgt idea to give stats for houses, which was so different from what was suggested initially. It was meant to be a non stat changing bit where OFFICIAL Empires could be formed ingame..eg alliances under the OE tag, which in turn could have been under an FUALL tag...it would have allowed empire leaders to address all alliances under the empire tag, ingame at once. I would rate this idea as bad as planets tbh. But when it comes down to it, one has to roll with the punches and adapt.
It's funny to see the lot that cried for updates now crying when others want some new updates..
What happened during the Omega vs DBD war? Vacation mode got new standards. What happened during the Caspian incident? Planet bonuses got, in term, nerfed What happened when Blahh got those godly planets? Planet defences got nerfed.
Approx a year ago people were whining how one player with a proper set-up (good MS, decent planets, nice strike and high ascension levels) could take on an entire alliance, provided he had enough resources - bam MS and planet stat bonuses got nerfed with ground stats being doubled and MS even more nerfed with planet stat bonuses then getting doubled too, ground strike got nerfed when it came to massing someone and covert became the key, etc. What happened when almost all planet defences got massable, like it was intended to due to Blahh's planets, when the people that wanted Blahh's planets gone built their own planets to the point where they were worthy to have? Mothership fleets, when in battle to take a planet, got nerfed.
Fact is that the game keeps doing almost 180° turns, to suit the needs of certain people that whine the most. Sure, some changes are for the better, but most are just god damn stupid. That's the way it's always been, that's the way it's always gonna be. If you don't like the constant changes every time you've just managed to adapt your account to previous game mechanics or don't wanna put up with the crap that happens all the time - retire like I have. The game obviously keeps going from one extreme to another and that's the way it's gonna be. I wouldn't be surprised if a year from now a defence of 300 mil supers would be massable by a strike of 150 mil supers, and then people are gonna start whining again as they won't be able to keep their defences.. Admin should stop listening to the whiners and actually try to do some good for newcomers..
The irony is that the admin chats were introduced so that admin could see what people think needs to be changed.. And before the whole "admin meet" charade the game was actually enjoyable to play with a constant development in one way while still allowing newcomers to catch up and new updates being thought over multiple times so that they were actually good.. Since the admin meets were arranged most of the people's accounts have gone from good to screwed over night, multiple times due to whining which hurried admin into implementing not really well-thought out updates..

Yes i 100% agree that is why this game has changed into crap and the only reasons people play is because they have already sunk $ into it or for there friends.
id love it if admin implemented something to properly counter covert and allow people to litrally damage covert evenly so there "Unmassable" defenses could be 0'ed easily.
also add top 50 people with covert levels wouldn't be able to use this special tech/skill allowing people to actually fight these people..Its absolutely ridiculous that only thing to counter covert is Anti covert and that can only be done once def is low else you lose loads... imagine a "attack" saying assisinate which speaks into the targets realm and kills spies
was just a thought really.
but people do need to change and stop filling admin's head with crappy info because the 1 thing that killed the game was the removal of Old School massing!!!
