Didn't everyone get in on that massing? By everyone, I mean the server.

That was a bit later on, but yes, I was part of that too. I also took him down in the server war. Mostly because he was an idiot. The most fun time was as follows, though..

Basically there was this bug where if you ascended you were wiped from people's attack logs. It might still exist, I don't know. Anyway long story short is I massed Dean_S and then ascended straight after so he had no idea who it was. Many laughs were had watching him nerd rage around the forum like a toddler on amphetamines.

I remember ascending for the first time with my huge 1 mil army

I remember my first ascension with some 400k units and the last one that time, LG1 with some 1m size

I remember when I reached my first 1m Unit count with raiding. It lasted some 3 weeks of farming and raiding

I have the distinction of being the first to mass him My Commander at the time who by then was a lot smaller than me uncovered evidence of a whole lot of multi's that were his that he admitted to. I had to first get Robe to kick him from Crystal Force (forget which division) then I just started hitting him. He kept messaging me why he was being massed as I was doing it and even admitted to me he was multi'ing lol.

It was not uncommon to get a message from test1 about your account being massed in several ways and then restored.

I remember ascension was meant to solve all the problems of players getting bigger and bigger forever and ever. Then people realized they could trade away UU etc and just keep on going.

I remember when the ascended server was "secret".

I remember when forum got a takedown notice of sorts about stargate names and everyone threatened to quit because snake lords really isn't as cool as goa'uld.

I remember very long wars because you couldn't actually hurt players properly. (can you even hurt players now?)

I remember having a HUGE UP of 7,5k

I remember 300k army sizes being ENORMOUS

I remember saving up naq in weapons to buy MS which costed 450 mil at the time and it was very very expensive

I remember not being able to select if you wanted officers or not

I remember joining under the guy named "I WANT NO OFFICERS" every time I could as it gave me like 1 mil income which was mind-blowing
