it would have made no difference if they had got that penalty. if they score, which was unlikely given the angle, it is 13-10, and same situation as them getting the ball eventually anyway. if they went for touch, well, it would have been after 80 mins by the time they took it anyway.

tbh, there seems to have been something wrong with the stadium, or very different...11 kicks missed between 2 world class kickers...thats not a normal situation. Tuilagi...well tell SA or any of the other southern hemisphere teams...majority have pacific islanders playing, Manu moved here when 13 and played through all the levels of english rugby. and...well it was an awful match, but scotland were pretty shocking, NZ although winning were not on great form....its the start of the world cup so it can only get better really.

it would have been 9-10 to england if they took the penalty?
they would have had to tap and go and then score a try and win
