Shows how much you know. Around last year the game plateaued at 250 players to what is barely 150 now. It was easily at 750/ day (going by the count on the game) when I joined this game.
Hell, in 2008 the game was at 1200 players or so. In the span of 4 years, the game is down to almost 1/10th of the number it was at, yet the admin is "doing nothing wrong as per the terms" seems to be the defending argument for this.
Laughable at best.

Boycotting IRC meeting and whinning about Admin on forums would lead to changes you think?

And after people scream that "unfair" things are discussed/decided in IRC meetings during their absence, as if it would be like "Oh there are too few people, we will cancel meet". Fortunately it's not like that, Admin chats with people there, and bad for those not around (sure some cannot due to schedule and it's a problem, but for the others who criticize and boycott, oh well lol), logical the ones present have the opportunity to discuss with Admin.

There's also the condition of people giving up.
You think, after 3 years of this crap, anyone has any hope of changes in the future?

I've attended IRC meetings long before that "3 years of this crap", and I must be unique (?), because Admin in old past and more recent past added suggestions of mine to his updates lists or used them to find new updates. Thus I don't see why I'd want changes in the system myself, or give up, considering Admin has most of time been the TOTAL opposite of the whining's caricatures, whether it was in IRC meetings I attended 2007, 2008, 2009, 2010, 2011, or 2012. Something must be messed up...

Well, I'm not sure what meetings you've been attending, but there's a reason not a single one of the big players in the game, or infact any of the "hardcore" players of this game, like admin's position in this game

Using that to show any kind of evidence of how popular the game was last year is pointless, lets have a look at what it says today.
In total there are 58 users online :: 3 registered, 3 hidden and 52 guests (based on users active over the past 5 minutes)
Most users ever online was 330 on Fri Oct 07, 2011 7:40 pm
58 online on the forum right now, yet 52 of them are guests which could be anything from person to bot. Can't tell what that 330 actually is can you?
I have some images stored up from past times when I've quit or gathering evidence for multi accounts. These are what they show:
Apr 2008 - 503
Jul 2008 - 554
Jul 2008 - 448
Oct 2008 - 545
Oct 2008 - 483
Nov 2008 - 338
Lets skip to 2009
Jan 2009 - 349
Mar 2009 - 320
Jul 2009 - 276
Aug 2009 - 342
Ocy 2009 - 198
Now for 2010 as you say a constant 750 people online
Feb 2010 - 278
May 2010 - 257
Jun 2010 - 264
Jun 2010 - 243
Jul 2010 - 215
Skip a year 2011
Jul 2011 - 215
Seems pretty constant to me since beginning of 2009.
Where is this constant 750 you speak of 2 years ago and 1200 from 2008? Because i can't see it.

Bottom line is the only reason to go to an IRC meeting these days is if you've been autobanned and want to get that fixed.
All the family excuses, lol, just classic, this is Kingdom Games Ltd, it's a business, not a hobby, but it's been ran like a hobby since day 1. When the game was released there was a TV show to drum up free customers and it flourished, not the case anymore and it's clear to everyone that there has never been a proper business plan in place for development, advertising etc.
And don't get me started on the "updates" that are invariably massively botched, poorly designed and months or even years later have bugs and gameplay flaws still unfixed.
I think i could train a chimp to do a better job in all honesty.

Probably said already, but it will be shot out when newgrounds is buffed out
That new person who joined forums to help out did she just vanish?
No, it turned out she had a life.
Any intention on advertisement?
Do you really expect anyone on here to know the answer to that?
Any intention on not relying ingame players to spot multi's/scripters and actually get up and do something?
Do you expect him to scroll over the thousands of players (like his scripts would) and check them out based on relative IP address's stats etc (like his scripts would)? He has done something that would otherwise take him awhile to do, and if you haven't thought about it yet there isn't really much else he can do.
Alternatively, instead of asking questions about admins intentions to the community, you could always ask them to him...or get someone to ask them...or send an email to him...or get someone to send an email to him....
@everyone on about the decrease in players, I wouldn't just solely blame it on the lack on change from admin J, this is a turn/text based game, an old game by today's standards, inevitably with a lack of an active admin (ok lets just cut it down to a lack of change, no one would really care if they saw admin prancing around everywhere, they just want shiny new things to play with and they want his attention) it has fastened up that core reason.
Also I would be interested to see how many people step up to the plate and offer their coding skills for free, I would even like to see how many people have the accomplished experience to be able to handle it. Plus I have a small hunch admin wouldn't just let his pride and joy roll with another person, so prep for some showmanship.
As for scripters, well it happens in all games, there is only so much you can do, and I have given admin some ideas to cut them down, whether he has implemented them or not is his problem

.
I do laugh at people that just complain though, like my father who hates the political side of Australia and their ability to make money vanish, up the taxes, and give themselves pay rises, but actually does nothing whatsoever and just complains to the family about it. Perhaps if you actually helped AJ a bit more than just shouting a few keywords or throwing an idea on the forum where you know he never appears, then he might do something. Reminds of bug threads in ascended, especially the more recent tourney ones, people were all like ZOMG I haven't got my planets, at which point I would sit back an ponder on how their thought processes got them to the point where they actually expect me to know; who to give them to, how many they think they should get, who was affected etc. and then anticipate that I could do it in a matter of hours. Multiply that by 8 pages of people **Filtered** about the same thing, with it only affecting a handful of people, and me fully aware of the problem a page or two in, not helpful in the least

.
That being said I say we all just go to an IRC meet and see what his plans are for main (if he will do anything on there) and just bombard him with forum links, leading him to suggestion threads. If he does nothing, we can do it again.

I can assure you that admin is thinking of updates in main. I'm sure some of you have heard of 'newgrounds' (I can't recall if it's still called that), and he's excited about that, although I've tried to persuade him to update the main game more. To be honest, some people thinks Jason earns **Filtered** from this game. The truth is he doesn't. Once I actually showed him how much I had earned from the game for a certain month, and it was more than he had earned that month.
What would be cool is if this game were to slowly be converted to a more graphics intensive game. I think he would need volunteer coders for that. I actually had a vision I had presented to admin once, but unfortunately my coding skills are nowhere up to what I had in my head.
One update that probably needs a revamp is the whole money/no money gap between players. There is a game out there where you can basically buy diamonds and purchase loads of bonuses, eg, instant builds or instant recruitments, but even if you spend ALOT of real cash buying all that, you also earn a specific amount of manna each turn, and it's depleted by 1000 or more depending on the bonus you want to use. The great thing is that non cash players can earn ALL those same bonuses by attacking bosses which pop up. To adapt that idea to GW, I would think explore some nebula or ancient race's planet or some such.
Anyways now I'm rambling, but rest assured admin is alive!

constructive criticism all this " jason has a life" " jason has a family" jason also runs a company like borek said and it's pathectic the work he puts into it now a days i don't go to admin meets becuase there a waste of time.. any ideas that aren't good and should be implemented jason just ignores or agrees and does nothing about it..
2012
Homepage
It has a background image and the login and text 'float' above the image. There are a number of images, and ability to add more.
If anyone wants to submit one for use, please:
* use existing size (1920 x 1080 --this is large enough for most screens and scales if necessary)
* Include some type of wormhole or stargate (but not an sg1 stargate)
* Keep it darker -not white - as its a background below white text
* Keep in mind the end product (jpg) must be 200k or under.
This 'refresh' moves us a step closer to a 'come on back' email (our first and only email EVER) to previous stargate players that should liven things up a bit...
Planet stolen stat
The number of 'archeological layers' are displayed when taking over a planet. This tells you how many previous owners have had that planet.
MPDSD on black market
There will be the ability to purchase MPDSD on the official black market. (starting Mar 2nd, 2012)
Triple Planets
These are now available - one per account only - also on official black market. (starting Mar 2nd, 2012)
Please note that a triple can be taken over ONCE and maintain the triple stats. If it is taken over a 2nd time it loses its 3rd stat.
There is no way to know beforehand how many times it has been stolen
Thats what he has done since start of this year.. you could do that over night wont be with his family 24/7 he should just hire someone he would easily make the money back..
