Funny thread.

The strong bond between DDE and OE from the old times was based on friendships that went beyond the game and the internet. Those times passed though and new leaders came forward who did not only disregard those friendships but worked actively towards disrupting the bond that once existed.

Well sorry to break your heart there bud, Rek is not the DDE leader, I am, and JT didn't disband FUALL, ETL did.

Rudy where you even about when REK was around, i see alot of people talking about him who have never actually played under him, having been in DDE for 2 years with REK at the top, i can assure you, ( and this coming from an OE member now ) ANYONE in the logs back then would have been destroyed, REK seen DDE as 100% family, and went to great lengths to hold that unit together and to stop inter alliance fighting, he was a great leader in the game.

Also JT is correct in his statement, it was indeed ETL that ended FUALL, but it had to be done, if the leader of OE didnt end it, the leader of DDE would have, everyone wanted it to disband in the end, from long time enemies of FUALL to long time allies.

This is truthful, and when the key players that formed that bound quit the game, the bond started to get frayed, it was no harm no foul there, there is alot more that went on though but its where it belongs, in the past.

I think its funny that we get alot of newer players who have never actually been in OE or DDE yet "claim" to know everything about how them Empires run and whats being said.

To answer the Original question, i dont think theres true hate between them, i dont 75%+ of the members in DDE, i dont hate them, i dont know probably 95% of the game, i dont personally hate anyone in this game, ( because its a game ) i think alot of people vent on here because well its just not real life, i know people on here that would troll you all day long, but offline they are the best people to talk to etc etc.

as an outsider to the firendship that was, I think FUALL disbanding is best for the game once the bitterness is forgotten and the game is remembered. 2 individual dominant powers is bad enough, one combined is insane.

Guys just need to remember you are playing a game, roleplay however you like whilst doing so, and enjoy.

I love Rek's sig on here.

Don't bring REK into this. He still visits the DDE boards, he did quite a few times last year. And we spoke on MSN. He was fully aware of what has happened and still has a place with DDE if he comes back.

JT and all of us would back REK up with everything we have. And then some.

-KJ

Alot of people, even some that are no longer in the family still consider REKism to be the way. And GC pretty much said it all, the bonds that tied the empires together eventually frayed as the old guard fell away from the game, and the newer players who were not around to make those connections, picked up the slack. Even now three years after the fact I still want to put my DxM sigs on, some of my proudest times ingame were while I was with DDE. People move on though, it is inevitable all anyone can do is roll with the punches and make sure when the dust settles you kept the people who actually matter to you.

As a Old Timer who both helped and fought both alliances I can't say I was shocked that they both went their own ways....I dont know when it happend as I just came back to the game not long ago but like some have said(To much stuff built up over time) of course you can look at it as SSDD.

Personally I'm suprised it didn't end sooner as well lets face it there can only be one alliance at the top in the end. Even if your friends if your playing on other teams dont you still want to win?

But there is alot... I mean alot more drama in the game then I remember and that might have something to do with it or it might just be a new aspect to the game.

Just my 2 cents

Much respect to my old friends in both alliances as well as anyone else reading this.
