No there was always an AND, I can guarantee it. The reason it was x descensions and x life force was because I didn't want noobs (or accounts that are otherwise crap) descended

, although you can kill off a few noob accounts and then chip off life force from others, it would take twice as long.

Because they probably already had it, some of the achievements are based off of the users ME

The winning the tournament one is going to be hard, some can take part in them, but cannot win them due to the time they can invest, instead of making it winning 1 tournament, why not make it, you must compete in 5 tournaments? or you must kill 5 people in tournaments??

The way the tourney works'll change when Sol's starting his new ones.

Hard yes, impossible no, and as it stands its impossible, i have a full time job, family etc etc, i dont have the ability to sit in front of my computer 20 hours a day, or access to a computer 20 hours a day, like some people do, which makes that goal impossible, so if you only want a very very very very small number of people to actually get this, then leave it as it is, least that way you wont have to worry about updating achievements past this level.

They are achievements.. additionally they are 'directions'. 'directions' are meant to be 'impossible' to achieve completely. *grin* (Go West, young man.)

Coming first is no where near impossible, but it only occurs once every tourney, you even saw last round that noobs with crap levels could hold up until right at the end. Sometimes it's just pure luck that no one comes for you. Perhaps you should be more strategic.
Even so you are basing this off death matches, a bit short sighted considering I said the next arena style will be a team death match, on top of that a few posts up I said I'll probably do a few successive short rounds.
I do like to have bottle necks every so often as well, it's good people can complete these at a steady rate, BUT at some point in time it will bring them to their knees for awhile. Even if it's for months, this is a game that has been going on for years and will be going on for awhile, there is no need to allow people to get things fast and allow them to easily complete a challenge (like simply farming x dmu). Plus it adds a bit of self satisfaction.
And no, there are quite a few more levels after articulated, I even said to a few people no one will make it to the end while I'm still coding for ascended (even if I don't add anymore challenges).
Although this is what I consider to be a side attraction to ascended, like demis are, if you don't get one or don't complete it then it doesn't matter because it doesn't have a major bearing on how you play ascended, i.e destroying another account and/or descending.

-GNR option: Use 1 market turns and 1000 Glory & Reputation for 250,000 Ascended Points on your Ascended Account
this summs like 120bil cache, so 1.2Q... close to nothing, I would say. This really needs to be multiplied by few times
