Deep in dark space a small fleet orbited a black hole..

Aboard the largest of the vessels a single figure stared into the abyss. Unmoving and almost a statue, the figure of a man sat. Though this was no mere mortal, but the Lord Ra. Ra had begun a system lord but over time advanced farther than any mere Goa'uld ruler. At the apex of power he had been subservient only to the god king EnterTheLion and his first in command Tekki. Yet even so his power and interest waned, as with all things. Slowly but surely his influence on the mortal plain withered, giving way to the ascended plain. As a result an entire fleet and the flagship Mandjet was placed in orbit of a dead star..

The figure moved, if only but a shift, but more action than had been observed in an age. The time for sleep had ended. The world had changed and some were beginning to forget the old gods. Ascension and its realm had afforded power, but Ra desired more..

His hand flashed over a control panel and executed a short series of keystrokes. All over the great capital ship cryogenic pods began to open and their occupants ejected. They looked into each others eyes and were filled with purpose, long had they slept but their god now returned. Soon positions were manned and lights flickered on all over the vessel. A tall imposing figure wearing an ornate breastplate approached Ra, "My Lord, the ship reports ready across the board. We do not, however, possess adequate power to leave the anomaly as it stands and gravity warp is distorting hyperflight plotting." Ra slowly turned his head to his First Prime, "Deactivate all weapons, redundant shielding, hyperdrives and non essential systems. Execute full thrust to the engines." To which the First Prime replied, "I will see it done my lord but your fleet will not be able to match Mandjet's power.. and even with generator power at maximum output it will still take nearly a month to break orbit of the dead star.." Rising and walking towards the open view of the command deck Ra responded, "Tana-akal maltar. Jaya-nok-shol. I care not for excuses, engage the engines.."

And so the vessel of a god slowly turned from the black hole and began a crawl out of its orbit..

The news of a face from the past of the local supercluster always signaled a change, regardless of whom it was. With these old faces came more power, ascended and corporeal. As a being that hailed from a world not represented by the local powers, Amag remained somewhat mysterious to the ascended beings that had come into existence as a member of one of the Four races or their enemies.

The fluctuations around the black hole served as an early warning, for something new, something completely unexpected was to develop within the coming times. Amag must carefully decide how to handle himself when these events transpire. For now, he waits upon the strangely constructed craft that serves as the flagship for his military. Standing vigilant, the flagship monitors the progress of the surrounding space. Action would have to be taken, at an undetermined time.

At the moment, though, he would just wait (and go to bed, it's about 1 A.M.), preparing silently for the oncoming surprises.

Somewhere, in a region of space thousands of light years from Ra, a single being rested on the ground. Long had it been since this body had moved in such a way. Trapped in the field of an ancient-enhanced time dilation device, four long years had felt like centuries, but such a device could not hold an ascended being forever. The body moved slowly and awkwardly as it refreshed it's data banks and concentrated on motor control. The body rose to it's feet, and analysed the information in it's memory banks. War... and nowhere else to escape the overwhelming force but an abandoned hatak mothership. Had it not been for the enemy, a counter-strike would have been swift and painful. Alas, the Disease had other ideas. The Skinned used technology far beyond their own and imprisoned Syntax in a time dilation field! Their eradication must be priority.

Looking around the hatak, Syntax closed his eyes, and fell back. Upon hitting the floor, his body exploded into blocks. "Now then", he thought. "Time to get to work".

Your problem is your solution. You can never beat legitimate progress, because you will never be able to advance past the races which you have assimilated.

I can see why you work the way that you do, and I can sympathize with your sentiments. However, just know, assimilation is outdated. There will be a new age, and it will not be ruled by the 01101100 01100101 01100111 01101111 01110011.

I would have. but im affraid the techs are outdated a long time ago.
so after my calculations the legos are stuck in time, and will not improve any more then it already is. this means the time of legos have ended!
